in my own opinion, Categorized Favorites Menu totally should be listed. It enhance your quick menu (when u press Q) very very much.
As for tip and trick, here is one which some people who don't know:
By pressing numbers 1-8 while selecting the items/potions/skills in your favorite list (the list which appears after you press Q), you can assign number hotkeys to those items/potions/skills, so that during combat you can just switch skills/weapons/armors and eat potions by just pressing numbers 1-8 on your keyboard.
