...the thread has taken a turn to modding and tweaking, instead of pure joy of just playing the game, lol.
It is because modding has been part of any Elder Scrolls games since the beginning of time. Skyrim is what a PC game should be where gamers can tweak it to their own hearts content, not those console games where everything is set by the developers.
I am done with vanilla Skyrim so its time to improve the game's graphics, gameplay and fix up some of the silly bugs that Beth left in the game. So, whats wrong with modding a game if it extents the longevity of a game?
You are still playing the game after modding with new content. Some of the default textures are horrendous to look at to begin with.

ok i unistalled it, install it again, did unpack the new version(1.7.7.06), everything works well, but still no Vilja btw, is the patch really that small? i mean just around 256MB?
That doesnt sound right, are you even playing on an original copy?
There is no patch unpacking on Steam as the game is updated automatically.
Just a word of advise, trying to mod with pirated copy will be even more frustrating because most of the time, mods only work with the latest version. On top of the frustration of getting all the mods installed to get along without conflicts or accidentally destroyed the game.
haha... i guess so. but coming from ps3.... it still feels kinda awkward playing with mouse. i think my thumb is good enough for aiming
edit:
after a few days trying, i still find using controller is much faster because all the keys are within grasp. on keyboard you need to stretch fingers to reach keys, and some key positioning is not that comfortable.
You can rebind keys to make it more comfortable for you as I had always found that C for crounch in any game has always been very uncomfortable for me, so i usually use Ctrl.
