Can someone explain why there's a Khajiit in Whiterun in this picture? I took the screenshot but at that time I didn't notice it had a Khajiit in it. I thought Khajiit were forbidden to enter cities (except the Dragonborn). I don't use any mods and it wasn't a companion. Update: Okay I found one way is to make him chase you into Whiterun. ( Screenshot here) But I don't remember doing this when I took the original first screenshot. This post has been edited by Andrew Lim: May 23 2012, 01:49 PM

QUOTE(mekboyz @ May 27 2012, 07:22 PM) how to get the special holds quests for the thieves guild? i already completed many numbers jobs and heist jobs but i still didnt get any special quests I think it's 5 jobs per hold. By the way if Delvin or Vex gives you a job for hold that you already have influence it, just cancel it and pick up another one for a hold you need.

QUOTE(nipaa1412 @ Jul 23 2012, 12:19 PM) Might switch over to archery judging how i barely won it using cover and archery....(2-handed weapons are hopeless against those mages.....) 1) Train sneaking and learn Assassin's Blade. It gives you 15 times backstab dagger damage. 2) Join the Assassin's guild. 3) Equip the Shrouded Gloves that give you 2x damage. Now you have 30x backstab dagger damage and can 1 hit KO a giant.

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Jul 23 2012, 04:34 PM) Play as Mage the best. Raise the Conjuration skills, sooner or later you'll know that what I told you are correct I agree, Mage is quite overpowered. Right now I'm playing as a mage with 100 Conjuration and I win all fights by summoning 2 Dremora Lords or Storm Atronachs.

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Jul 25 2012, 01:30 AM) Thieves Guild quest are good but those side mission is $uck(bedlam, fishing or numbers job).. Zzz I just wish there was a faster way to contact Delvin and Vex once you've completed a job. Right now we have to go through 2 or more loading screens to get to the Ragged Flagon. Bethesda should extend the Courier service so I can message Delvin/Vex once I'm done with a mission.

After installing Dawnguard update, I wasn't sure how to actually how to start the quests. But after I returned to Whiterun, I met this guy: This post has been edited by Andrew Lim: Aug 3 2012, 06:35 PM

QUOTE(pandah @ Aug 5 2012, 12:29 AM) if u are a vampire, from previous fight with vampire, then must join the vampire side edy? You can always cure yourself of vampirism. But being a Vampire Lord is different from being a normal vampire, and can only be obtained by letting Lord Harkon bite you. As long as Harkon and Aela are alive, you can switch between Werewolf and Vampire Lord. This is necessary if you want to get both the Vampire Lord and Werewolf achievements in 1 player character.

You can cure yourself of vampirism at any stage by changing into a werewolf.
Conversely, you can cure yourself of werewolf anytime by asking Harkon/Serana to change you back into a Vampire Lord.
Haven't tried mounted combat. Forgot all about it.
Edit: Correction. You can only ask Aela the Huntress to turn you back into a werewolf ONCE.

Completed the main Dawnguard questline as a Vampire Lord. Overall the story is so-so. The good things are the interesting characters - Serana and the final boss fight. The boss fight is more interesting than fighting Alduin.
But some of the dungeons are really annoying, especially the Forgotten Vale. You'll understand what I mean once you've played that.

I'm also currently a Necromancer. My house is full of dead bodies I've collected using Dead Thrall.

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Aug 6 2012, 09:46 AM) Dawnguard faction is better than vampire faction. Vampire faction just seems less developed compared to dawnguard. Upgradable crossbows with variable ammunition is way better than vampire lord (vampire lord is terrible on master difficulty) I will need to load one my older saved games to play the Dawnguard faction then. But I think most of the quests should be the same after finding the Moth Priest. At first I liked being a Vampire Lord, but the whole daytime no stamina/health regeneration thing was really annoying.

Normal Skyrim has no perks for Werewolves. And playing a Vampire Lord in Dawnguard is very different from the normal vampire in Skyrim. You should watch the Dawnguard trailer.

QUOTE(mekboyz @ Aug 6 2012, 07:45 PM) about the new werewolf perks, is it only available when i join the dawnguard faction? Lycanthropy is not related to Dawnguard faction, but you need Dawnguard installed. Being a werewolf is related to the Companions questline, just like before. Except now you have perks.
