went to do 40k service today in Puchong PE SC....took my own mitsu filter also, at first say cannot, but then i insisted, as they do not have it..so in the end, now can bring own oil filter and as usual own engine oil...

anyone here knows when do we need to change/clean our aircond filter? according to proton, not at 40k...

Thanks for the advice earlier regarding engine oil, as suggested by NZH and others, I'll see if SC got 5w40

the most important is fully syn, they do have better lubrication and cleaning properties.

Isnt it better to get rid of it? rclxub.gif
*
u see, u cant get rid of everything that u dislodged when u flush it. it leaves the metal particles at places it should not be.

google transmission flush, most will disagree with it

ini vtec ya..not mivec

also, me book man, manual didnt even mentioned flushing

then should be cleaner right...?
ckk you changed yours already?>
*
doesnt work that way.

overhaul is the one that can 'clean' it.

our transmission/engine is not a like a bottle or a box, that is why u can never drain all 4.3 litres of engine oil and 7 plus litres of transmission fluid.

there are bound to be some collection. by flushing them, u'll dislogde the metal particles and potentially dislodge them elsewhere.

again, this is from reading, i am neither a certified mechanic nor a transmission expert.

once u read the cvt then lagi smart..

the moral of the story is, want a more powerful car, drive fast fast, cvt will learn.

even amount of engine braking and acceleration/throttle opening depends on the way u drive.
