QUOTE(Human Nature @ Feb 8 2012, 06:11 PM) Maybank did not respond after the promised 3 working days respond time, as usual. I cc again to BNM and within minutes BNM send a reminder to Maybank to address my issue within 2 weeks. Just sharing. Received a written letter from Maybank, delivered by Pos Laju. Important points: QUOTE ...the SMS alert notification on threshold amount set by card members were implemented effectively 10th February 2012. Hence, why there was no SMS alert notification sent to your goodself for the transactions dated 4th February 2012 despite the acknowledgement received on 2th February 2012. We truly regret if our personnel had not mention this to you earlier.
Nevertheless, we are pleased to confirm that the SMS alert notification is in order and that you have successfully received notification for the petrol transactions on 11th and 12th February 2012 respectively...

QUOTE(ronnie @ Feb 26 2012, 09:16 AM) Certain transactions didn't come with SMS.... which was strange. I am happy to report that all my tranx (online and F2F) receive SMS from OCBC since I set the min amount. I received double SMS when i used TMOnline portal this morning, but OCBC online banking shows the correct amount so am not concern.

Just < RM 100. Bought the Starbucks card for my friend. A poster reported receiving SMS for RM55 swipe. time to change your threshold limit lah

Padini Concept Shop (RM 355), Jusco (RM 55). I got a SMS for my transaction for Jusco only about 5 minutes after I swiped stating the amount, shop and last 4 digit of card no. QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 4 2012, 11:30 AM) My point is that MBB CS claimed that they have so called fraud detection system in order to justify for sending out SMS alerts. If you're a frequent patron to certain merchants, you will not be receiving alert very likely. But if you're paying a visit to a particular patron once in a blue moon, one should be notified right? Their fraud detection system is very sophisticated and hard to draw a general conclusion. The system will not even flag you if you spend at a once in a blue moon location at a different state. Haha, maybe not for starbucks

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 1 2012, 09:39 PM) Yesterday or today there was an auto debit transaction to my MBB2 AMEX but I didn't receive any SMS alert for it. Is that the sophisticated fraud detection engine from MBB will treat this auto debit transaction to the same merchant as non-fraud suspicious alert after repetitive transaction? I refer to the following statement from MBB CS, you should be receiving SMS for auto-debit. QUOTE Nevertheless, kindly be informed that an alert shall be sent for transactions where the card is not presented such as online transactions, auto debit or mail order transactions.

On an unrelated matter, I have encountered these 2 situations (maybank) 1. When there is no telco coverage at the shop, there is a delay in the receiving SMS, about 30 mins after i step put of the shop in my case. 2. When there is transaction failure during swiping, I still receive the SMS a few minutes later, thus 2 SMS alert for the same transaction. After checking with CS, only 1 is succesful. Added on April 1, 2012, 10:29 pmQUOTE(David83 @ Apr 1 2012, 10:23 PM) Strange, actually my auto debit to MBB Visa also didn't receive any SMS alert. I think you better check with CS to make sure things are in order for your account. I got the black and white confirmation on this auto-debit thing.
