I think your model should use that red umbrella in photo#3.

Tip No. 1 : Please number your pics to make it easy for people to comment.
Ok, with that out of the way... I get the feeling that all the pics seems a little on the soft side. It that intentional? If not then you may need to work on your focus. Pic #2 & the last 2 pics - The pose is a bit awkward. The key to getting good portraits is to put your subject at ease. Get her to relax more and the poses will turn out more natural. I'm aware that she may not have any experience in modelling but you will still need to get her to relax. |

Since u mention the soft quality picture, is it related to upload service ( i am still new and just registered a free account at photobucket.com)? i need to check it out as all the photos i took were sharp in details. I will try to re-upload again after found either my pic resize setting or the upload service setting. By the way, i still newbie, not good on instruct model posing Added on January 19, 2012, 9:33 pmphotos re-upload This post has been edited by KhaiYen: Jan 19 2012, 09:33 PM |

TS,
Thanks for the re-upload. Bigger pics now so I can see a bit more clearly.. uncle ady lah... so need big, big pictures.. haha Anyway I still think the pics are a bit soft, especially pic #3. I only find pic #6 to be marginally acceptable. I cannot put my finger on why it turned out that way.. perhaps it's due to flare? Your filter in front of your lens perhaps? Maybe a bit of sharpening when you PP the pics will help? |

QUOTE(shootkk @ Jan 20 2012, 06:24 PM) TS, i re-check all my original JPEG (exported from Adobe Lightroom with standard sharpening setting), all is sharp in detail, except pic #3 (a bit soft, maybe my handshake due to no stablilizer lens or camera body miss focus issue). Thanks for the re-upload. Maybe a bit of sharpening when you PP the pics will help? i dont think is filter problem because i am using good quality filter (marumi super DHG UV standard filter). Next time i will checks & increase sharpening value during photo editing. |

Overall, these pictures seem not bad, just feel lack of creativeness. Keep it on~ :-) |
