For people like some(maybe me)
Will just buy the it for the ITX casing sake XD
kinda gooding yo biggrin.gif

and of course you can modify it yourself as you wish it so
alot of people searching nice and stylish casing
money doesn't bring much to matter when people looking for ITX casing rig
its simply cost more

The casing looks like a proprietary design that will make upgrading a problem in the future.

Probably better just DIY your own with a i5 2500K mini ITX with a proper GC at the same price.

Other than the good looks of it, I don't find any firm reasons to get this. For the price of this thing I'd rather build my own rig. Buy this only if you have a lot of friends to impress and a lot of people visiting your house during festive seasons.

I don't care the reason why the consumer would get it for.

My opinion is that I would only buy that thing for the looks (including the form factor of course). Nothing else.

Looks like you can fit a normal PCI-E card inside as long as the width and length can fit.. since got the PCI-E extender/connector.

Only problem would be PSU then rclxub.gif

Got any unboxing videos / review in the pipeline??? tongue.gif

Was planning to get the Zino then Dell killed it doh.gif . They recommended me to get the big fat 620s. sweat.gif . I think I might seriously consider this one if its worth the money, since I was planning to get a HTPC/Gaming hybrid anyway (was aiming for the highest end zino).

With the PCIe bridge, seems like upgrading the cards won't be a problem either (since with a GTX555 configuration only draws about 200++ W, got extra 100W for you to play around if you upgrade cards).

The only question is...how will the launch of Ivy bridge processors affect this rig by the end of this year ....

well u pay for the design and the hardware type that you can fit into that really slim case....its like a DIY SFF PC that comes with warranty.

I think the amount that you're paying is really the innovation of that PCIe bridge for the GC....getting a full size GC into a SFF casing is most of the time impossible.

You know what?

I AM interested in getting an X51, simply because it's a compact machine that is capable of pretty high-end gaming.

Sure, I know you can get a better specced and more powerful gaming rig, giving you better value for the money. I am not disputing that. It's just that it would come in a full-sized case, with loads of noisy fans dissipating all the heat buildup. Powerful, yes. Hot and noisy, yes as well.

Now, if anyone can come up with a custom-built small, relatively quiet and cool SFF system utilising a mini-itx or micro-atx platform for a lower price, or a more powerful system for the same price as the i7-specced Alienware X51, I would very much like to hear from you.

There you go, a challenge for all you pro rig builders out there wink.gif Come up with a compact and powerful Alienware X51 clone that is as quiet and cool under load, costed similarly and you'll have my gratitude and a bit more money for your trouble.
