I sent my Wira to replace radiator fan motor (Nippon Denso brand), the car workshop
charged me RM 215 for part and labor, was it expensive?

Also to replace Wira clutch cable, they charged me RM 125 for part and labor, was it
expensive?

Thanks...

Radiator fan about that price lar, depends they give you good parts or not.

Clutch cable do seems more expensive, maybe coz there more job involved.

I just checked the spare parts price (after installed Wira radiator fan motor and clutch cable) :

(1) Wira radiator fan motor: RM 65 (Nippon Denso)
(2) Wira clutch cable: RM 38

I think they charged me RM 215 (part & labor) to install the radiator fan motor
is too expensive, the installation job is very simple... I think they rip me off..

the radiator fan motor got different quality one, some is priced 100 plus.

well, take this as a lesson. better to buy parts from spare part shop and look for mechanic to install it, cheaper but need use a bit of your time.

They installed Nippon Denso radiator fan motor (spare part cost is about RM 65),
they charged RM 150 for labor is too high, don't you think so..?

it is expensive bro.. for job like this the labor around rm20..
parts value only rm60 for fan motor, and rm40 for clutch cable.. both actually easy to install.. even me tried DIY last time.. wink.gif

I noticed it was very easy and took less time to install the radiator fan motor,
I agreed with the price RM 215 (part and labor) before they installed it.
Obviously, they cut my throat...

And I am their regular customer, I do not think I will go there anymore..
this car workshop does not know how to keep their regular customer..

Really do not know which reliable car workshop should I go for..?

Never mind lah.. we all expected Mercedes Benz parts are like that.

By the way, Mercedes was a girl name, Mercedes Benz founder used her daughter name Mercedes
as the car brand name... biggrin.gif

Hi i just replaced my wira 1.3 radiator fan. Here's just some info sharing.

Symptoms:
1. Intermittent rattling sound of radiator fan.
2. Car performance reduced.
3. Enjine slight jerking at low speed/rpm

Since the temperature wasn't rising and fan was still running, I surveyed around.

1. Spare part shop A> offer Denso brand, so called made in Japan @ $130. Local part at $60. I wasn't convinced so didn't buy, since the sales seems dubious.
2. I went to usual mechanic shop. He offered part+ installation at $195. Since seems to costly, didn't do it.
3. Spare part shop B>offer APM brand made in Malaysia @ $110. I went to mechanic shop change with labour charges at $30.

During fan replacement, foreman said radiator going to give way. Curious to know how he identified. He mentioned colour of radiator seems different. I just went along but didn't change.
Anyone know how to see whether radiator faulty or not?

Radiator going to give away??
There's no mechanical parts in radiator..
Radiator can only leaks water out, but since no case of water missing so no problem. Colour different probably coz you didn't flush the water for very long time.

depends on what brand using lar.. and TS said nippon denso wira radiator fan RM65, its really cheap, if really original denso i would like to order 10pcs.. as i know 6x-7x radiator fan motor is made in taiwan or china, 8x-9x mostly thailand and better quality.. original denso from japan, 12x-13x... and if for KL price original denso radiator fan motor 215 including labor, i think its reasonable price... unless it put taiwan or china motor and charge u 215, then realli cut throat...
