QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 26 2012, 01:06 PM) No need to wipe though you are told to do so You can try without wipe first. I have install ontop of bigxie 9-2 without wipe n is perfect. If you face fc than only do a wipe I have been testing roms all without wipe ontop of one another never faced any issues so far I have flashed 4.02 google build. That means I can flash bigxie directly without wiping out? Unlock bootloader root the phone and just flash bigxie?

You will then be prompted to enter a new pattern and once again you have your phone back in action with all data intact. Taken from http://matthewhollander.com/locked-out-of-...-android-phone/bro I have tried all these tricks...but n help This post has been edited by gurpreetsingh: Jan 30 2012, 02:34 AM

QUOTE(0204 @ Jan 30 2012, 02:46 AM) do you have google sync on? i tot if u havent root the device and do anything "non default" google sync can pretty much save all your setting and apps.. so doing reset won't cause u to lose much.. unless u've stored some files into the device manually.. i'm not sure reset would wipe them it is rooted and sync is not on...it was initially.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 30 2012, 01:07 PM) That is the problem using pattern lock. Too many attempts will locked phone. I never use pattern or even the faced lock. My phone no personal data open viewable - all such data are protected with passwords on app I would say to reflash rom to solve it I also thinking to do the same. Is there way to boot temporary just like we have windows live cd....anyway I can go inside and enable data.

it is a flaw. The fone should unlock with the credentials. If this is a security issue why show the option to get the option to unlock?

QUOTE(phantomash @ Jan 30 2012, 02:19 PM) install titanium backup then restore your apps using it. this should make you realize that its always best to keep a backup of your apps and data, etc. btw, have you tried the nandroid backup, wipe phone then restore nandroid? I had taken one full backup a week ago from gnex toolkit. Is it nandroid backup? I restored that and now installed titanium. But I can not see my titanium backup created by me few days back. Does reflashing delete those backups too?

I could not get you bro.. I just reflashed stock rom using
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primekj10.img fastboot reboot-bootloader sleep 5 fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxkk1.img fastboot reboot-bootloader sleep 5 fastboot -w update image-yakju-itl41f.zip
That means I can not get my backup taken by titanium?
Added on January 30, 2012, 3:37 pmalso if I had done factory reset too then also I would have lost my titanium backup? can we take out titanium backup to pc?

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 30 2012, 03:46 PM) not sure why you need factory reset at the first place. anyhow, just copy your TB apk and entire TB folder to your PC. do anything you need, after done; copy back the TB folder and install back TB. as simple like that. previously using ARHD/AOPK with franco & apex; now using bigxie/apev rom with apev v5. The phone was locked so we can not access the files inside it. my question is , since I have flashed stock rom again can I get my backups generated by titanium?

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 30 2012, 06:23 PM) after read back few post back, only know your story. sad story for you. next time keep your phone in safe place la. and lesson learn, always backup files to PC. we dunno what shit will happen in future. for mine, I install Titanium Media Backup. and I set the condition; as long as wifi and charger connect, automatic sync TB folder to dropbox. then my pc also have dropbox installed that will automatic download. meant i have 1 set backup in cloud and also second set at desktop. I think this is not part of free apps? right? Is this paid apps? Added on January 30, 2012, 6:29 pmQUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 30 2012, 06:08 PM) ^you should've just booted into recovery, and perform a data wipe. Your internal storage should be intact under /sdcard/TitaniumBackup. If you flash a factory image, the internal storage is wiped. If the files were intact, then yes, they can be restored. Next time will take care.. But if I do a data wipe , then how can I take out the files inside? This post has been edited by gurpreetsingh: Jan 30 2012, 06:29 PM
