what does the baseband do ? why need to upgrade ?

i have problem with my signal actually. the signal will drop to zero and regain full bar on the same spot. how to know which to install ?

Baseband is your phone radio/modem > It controls your phone signals, data reception etc
No need to upgrade if you are happy with it. Upgarde only if you consistently faced line blacKouts, difficulty in getting internet connection on 3 G. But before you change , analyse your problem first over few days to ensure it is not telco issue. Or try it with another telco simcard

What is your baseband now ? And on what rom ?

I just want to share my experience regarding baseband/radio... If anyone having problem "no lines", "disconnect" etc etc. I got the same problem before but solved after flashed baseband XXKK6.

I remembered i read somewhere if u flashed version 4.0.3 it recommended to flash XXKK6 or newer radio.

Now my connection very solid and the reception much more better.

Any celcom gnexus owner?  How do you register for warranty?
