QUOTE(thelonely @ Dec 16 2014, 11:52 AM) i dont think i mind, coz i think it wont be that loud, coz train will slow down when approaching station. In fact, the sound barrier would only reduce the noise level by 3 decibels, screeching sound the Lrt makes when it brakes will be too loud. However, ppl who live in the city must get used to certain level of noise pollution. |

Four trapped in concrete collapse at LRT worksite Liquid concrete collapsed in Putra Heights, trapping three people at 4.29pm Wednesday, and work is ongoing to extract the victims, according to the Fire and Rescue Department. — Pic credit Facebook Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Subang Jaya KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24, 2014: Four people are believed to have been trapped when liquid concrete collapsed on them at the Putra Heights construction of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) system depot today. In a statement by Parasarana Malaysia Berhad on its Facebook page, it confirmed of an incident at the depot which is on the Ampang (AMG) LRT extension project worksite. “The incident occurred at 4.20pm when the formwork and scaffolding collapsed during the concreting of the deck slab,” the statement read. However, it said four workers are believed to be trapped instead of three as reported by the Fire and Rescue Department earlier. Four other workers sustained minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. “Rescue efforts are currently ongoing. The Emergency Response Team, as well as the Police and the Fire & Rescue Services have been mobilised and are at the site of the incident,” Prasarana confirmed. Earlier the Fire and Rescue Department’s official Twitter account @bombaJBPM tweeted that the concrete fell on three people and work was ongoing to extract the victims. Meanwhile, in an update on the Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Subang Jaya’s Facebook page, machinery from Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Puchong were deployed to the scene of the accident.
