at a turn / kona? if yes, next time don't brake while cornering. the brakes got no abs (for older & lower models) and can easily lock causing you to spin. I already kena several times. And yes, NCT5 sucks big time. Go change when possible. All my spins kena when on NCT5. One time almost masuk hutan liao. Now on wider tires with better threads even cross water pool no problem, only very slight pull instead of nct's trademark pull like wanna accident..

Is it true that in order for aircon evaporator cooling fins to be cleaned for maintenance, need to disassemble entire dashboard, driving up the labor cost?

Power Steering Switch - this is a stupid nut/switch which is pretty expensive...RM 3xx. Make sure the Power Steering liquid is not leaking.

on mine i see evidence this is leaking but not much, but still leaking. should i bring this immediately to renautech or rsauto? is this simple enough that proton SC can do? can i just top it up with power steering fluid?

well.. they say a pix is worth a thousand words rite? this is what happened the last time the car spin.. ended up with new bumper, front grill, skirt & 1 headlite. Had to change rims also since old one cracked. After that, so long NCT5, I will NEVER buy another one ever again.

call Wei Khoon at ProArt performance. I left the number on several posts in V3. Let me know if cannot find. Shop is attached to Chai Leng Park shell station on mainland side. Across the road from some big hotel.

@jtdc
nope. no need actually. just need to clean fan and blower. cleaning the entire system needed on very old cars only or if you don't mind the charges and want to do so.

For power steering switch, can topup but get power steering leak sealant type. Like STP stop leak or Gold Eagle. About RM24 per bottle. Only need a little bit. That should help stop the leaking.

@mosh
No need to insure over 20k. Market price is only 18k.

Proton's OEM alarm has no autolock feature. It has auto-arm but no auto-lock or even brake lock. Suggested go change alarm system. The OEM one isn't that superb really. The shock sensor is built into the controller box for one. Meaning it's not as sensitive as add-on sensors. Other "extras" also missing.. heh wink.gif

@naskah

not what. who. airline is a person. he sells savvy parts..

@judd

that'd be the infamous coil problem. not the coil itself, just the plug connectors. 1 or more (usually more) has a leak. Just change the coil to new one. That'll fix it. Where to get? Contact Jiash or airline.

@both, check earlier posts (also V3) to get the contacts for these people or pm them here.. I believe they still run under the same nicks.. wink.gif

I had this problem too even. then i send my car to proton service center. they said problem with my coil and the plug connector. the old model need to change both. after change the coil+connector, problem not really solved. I've been advised to go to renautech or rs auto to get my tdc sensor cleaner. i'm planning to that for my 50k service. hopefully it will solve my power loss and jerking problem.
