if gearbox whole set is rm17k bro/sis.. if the pump and actuator will cost you around that figure (proton service centre)..

outside you can search for some savvy owner that can fix problematic amt gbox.. depend on what kinda problem u have.. can cost you rm300 - rm2000..

search for osman baba (savoc) in facebook.. location of shop is pandamaran klang..

that's why... if Savvy, AMT is really a pain to fix. i suggest have the car towed to RS Auto for their checking/assessment. if car will just sit idle on your place then its useless.

i also got the same problem. the stupid proton service center (Mutiara Damansara)
gave me the following quote:

1. Speed Sensor RM193.22
2. Pedal Assy Brake RM92.77
3. Electro Pump RM2006.05
4. Cylinder clutch RM3095.73
5. Modulate Actuator RM9674.72
6. Clutch Kit RM692.08
7. Accumulator + Gasket RM1217.28

Total: RM16971.85

heard that RS Auto in Puchong is a good place to repair savvy. Anyone been there? what's yr review?

If your car couldn't be start. Just tow it to RS Auto in Puchong or Renautech in Subang(I personally go here)
They will definitely do a WAY better job than any proton SC.

that quotation is stupid and lazy, just replace everything? and for that price then replace the whole car already, what are they thinking?

like as mentioned, have it towed to the renault specialists for the real fix, proton can only fix simple things with savvy like oil change nothing more.

Even changing oil I will do it at Renautech located at Subang. The boss there (William) is a very nice man. Recommended workshop for Proton Savvy biggrin.gif

i heard renau tech and RS auto in puchong got big price difference. RS auto charge cheaper. In your opinion, what's the quality of the
service? i don't mind paying a bit more for a better service and a peace of mind.

P.S: i tried calling RS auto but seems like they changed their office number. anyone has their latest number?

Never been to RS auto so I couldn't comment on the price. But Renautech charges is ok for me for their service.
I read from this forum and savoc.net that RS Auto is always pack with Proton Savvy everyday.
You can try the below number biggrin.gif
RS Auto, Mr Hoe - 012-2365520

thanks kennywee92, you've been very helpful. How much Renau Tech charge you for their services?
What services you acquired from them? mine's a major gearbox repair and i really hope it won't break my wallet.

I did normal service & previously my car have the error of the "injection light". The light with the zig-zag symbol you see at your car's speedometer. Got it fix last week & still testing if the light will come back. They charge a quite reasonable fees for labor. About rm30-60 depending on what is your service. For your case, they will diagnose your gearbox 1st before fixing it, just tell them your problem & they will help you for sure biggrin.gif

hi all savvy sifu,i was now keen on savvy used,saw some deal in mudah.my asking 9k for a 2005 savvy,Mileage: 85 000 - 89 999,manual,is it a good deal?what should i caution before the deal?thx!
*
I think we've covered that already in previous posts. Anyway, since I got time.. Manual not much to check.
- Ignition coil changed?
- Last MAJOR service
- Tell tale signs of accident
- Got jerking when driving in low gears or not? (TDC)
- Can start easily?
- test all mechanical parts in cabin (radio, power window, aircon, glovebox etc)
- check tyres
- test suspension when driving & check absorber for any leaks AFTER test drive.

Hello all.
I'm actually looking to buy a second hand savvy here.
I saw a 5-year-old savvy and kind of like it, but i saw that the front bumper colour is a bit washed off/peeled, just the part above the plate number and in between the lights.
Also the "holder" of the side mirror is rusty too.
Are these normal for used savvy? or are they signs the car has had accident before?
Thanks!
*
You mean center grill with proton logo on it? That one cheap to replace. Even got after-market ones. Side mirror rusty is normal. Means the car has seen too much rain & sun..

Hey at least they broke it down for you and told you all the separate piece costs. the PSC that I am going to in Serdang Raya tells me the price only when they are telling me they need to replace it. mad.gif

...fwiw the price for the electropump and accumulator/gasket are consistent with what I was told.

Did anyone else replace accumulator and electropump, and how long does your AMT last after that? I want to make sure it can at least get me to the Suzuki showroom XD
