okay, first long run after service. overall, i am very satisfied with the car performance. i was speeding a lot on my way to jb. because i wanna try the car. better acceleration compared to before service, engine is quieter. i was driving 120-130km/h and sometimes speed up to 170 (hopefully no saman) and my fuel consumption is 14.6km/L. (i was expecting 15). So, on my way back from JB, i drive carefully. (mau jimat). just arnd 100-120km/h. but the traffic went slow from port dickson to bangi because of heavy rain. then sampai kl, terus isi minyak to check my fc. got 15.9km/L! which is good enough for me!

next service 60k km, i plan to flush the engine.

btw, i saw the new Proton Preve on the highway (partially covered, of course). Very fast! i was actually trying to catch it up when i was driving 170, but i surrender lah. and it's a good looking car as well.

bos, there is a workshop at skudai normally savvy owner do service and i live at skudai too. For small problem i usually DIY..

just bought Bosch plugs from PH Auto at RM12/pc. will install during next serv n give a review. much cheaper than standard Champion. =)

how long normally a dry cell battery last? my car is more than 50k km already, just wondering when should i change the battery. dowan mati tengah jalan

want to ask,my moms' car have the orange auto indicator at the meter cluster blinking and speed meter turns to 0 suddenly while driving
is it gearbox problem?

speedsensor. RM250 to change it, this will solve the speed meter turns to 0 issue. orange light indicator light up? which one? AMT version? Something to be cleaned if not mistaken.

Added on April 12, 2012, 10:11 pmOriginal proton battery usually last 3 - 4 years punya. Btw your next service can ask mechanic help you check see the battery still got umph or not.

An MF batter will only last about 2yrs max. After that it's unreliable. If already that old, go get a new one. BTW, your car won't mati tengah jalan unless the alternator is dead.. & syntium 800 sucks a$$.. don't ever use if you got other options..

IIRC, it cost me less RM50. Just need the starter, a bit of wire and some wiring tape. Installed it like 3 mths after I got the car. Gave the proton mechs something to talk about everytime go service lol. 6 yrs in, it's still there and still works great except for the light. I think one of the wires came off but too lazy to check. As long as the engine starts, it's fine.. haha

Skills required : low-med
Time : 1-2hrs (depending on your size)
Cost : as above

Was gonna do start/stop but since steering lock requires the key to be in when driving, never bothered..

so u have to 2 ways to start your engine now? do it for me!!! haha
