how long normally a dry cell battery last? my car is more than 50k km already, just wondering when should i change the battery. dowan mati tengah jalan

my savvy MT 09 gave me a major headache today. the speedometer died on saturday (stayed at 0 km/h while moving). the engine sometimes jerking and the drive is not so smooth since saturday. The odometer also doesn't work. i googled a bit, and suspected the speed sensor got problem.

So, i sent my car to Renautech earlier today to get it fixed. Unfortunately after some checking, William told me that the problem is with the gearbox. I still can drive the car right nowm but to get it fixed I need to leave the car for 4-5 days! (I don't have any other transportation for work). The cost estimation for the repair is around RM700-RM800. Sigh...

Does Renautech have loan car? I forgot to ask them earlier today.
