Hmmm Yeah the FPR definitely do have the whistling sound which is very annoying..
But for the works that i recommend, The drop-in air filter and LCP.. The air filter can really last.. Cos my friend was using the K&N air filter for his Neo. But he didnt use the oiling kit, just wash it every 3k km with water and let it dry.. What happened was the fibre became hard.. And when stones entered the air intake it punctured the filter a bit.. And his throttle body is damn dirty also..

LCP is to reduce the crank pulley mass, increasing whp and reduce city driving FC a lot..
lol nope.. All the while I recommend Works air filter.. hehe.. Never recommended K&N b4.. lol..
Technically yes, but then the SC normally wont be so particular on u changing SP lah..
LCP works is the best balance between performance and budget.. If u willing to spend 600 then can go for mythelogy..
Works better.. K&N if u dont re-oil and just wash with water later the fibre will become brittle and bocor later. .

Shyyyt.. Mythlogy so mahal???

guys, i would like to ask the immo in PE disable which part of the engine?ignition, starter or fuel pump?

and for those kaki genting, is it normal for the car to emit a burning smell halfway uphill?i sensed that smell for a short while during uphill. Mine is an M-line Manual PE.

Hmmm change timing belt where got need to use calibration device one? I rmb seeing a shop change timing belt, just put in the new belt, release the tensioner and its done..

*
Eh, really ah? Then I'll just go do it at the workshop then. The SC mentioned that the tension of the belt needs to be checked by computer to make sure that it's not too tight. My first timing belt change, so I swallowed everything he said. sweat.gif

Normal, not just genting. Sometime when you really push/rev the engine high, the same smell will come out.

Just change outside only lo... just look for a trusted work shop to do it.

It's only a PE, the mechanical part of the engine shouldn't be so high tech till you need computer all that to check especially the timing belt. Unless it's adjustable pulley, then it sound relevant.

Or you can go Dori dori at glenmarie, famous for campro stuff

I smell it when I was on the way to Alor Setar at 150kmph on a 3km stretch. My family got shocked and ask if it's safe to continue the journey. Touch wood nothing happened! Reached destination, open up bonnet but couldnt smell anything at all.

dont worry its normal.. even with my non PE model.. after sometimes the smell will be lesser.. this burn smell will normally happen when you rev the car hard and going uphill where constantly revving like genting... so no big deal.. =)

the smell might frighten people..but no worries as its very normal due to most of the engine parts are still new..so i guess when the engine is super hot and parts are still tight it might have the smell due to temperature of high speed running that causes it to emit burn smell...it will slowly goes off after 30k-50k

And oh regarding drop in, I don't believe it either... Yes, I only believe in drop in for money saving, that's it...

What 1-5% HP increase, not even 0.1 you get...

Your air intake velocity doesn't change, the air route and TB still same... This is the case for Honda with all dyno proof, and this also same to all...

And K&N, the oil is what they so valued, but they dunno the oil is what making the TB dirty either.
