It is way way better than CM9. My CM9 could not play Youtube videos and the Flash in the browser did not work. Now my new ICS can do everything my Gingerbread could.

Also my CM9 had this stupid bug where when answering calls, it would go to loudspeaker. Must click the icon to transfer to loudspeaker and back to handset only then the earpiece will work.

If you are worried about the launcher, my ICS also has that same launcher.

So why would you say it sucks?

My leaked stock ROM is getting FC here and there, even in Settings! doh.gif

I think I better go back GB to gauge my battery first. WIll try your Bezerker ROM after all these ordeal. laugh.gif

Last battery screenshot. The charging is weird, after 1 reboot, it spiked up to 60+%.

Rebooted yourself or the phone restarted by itself.

Upon all the gaps on my graphs, I think all were self rebooted. doh.gif

The last few happened when I was trying to BT a file from phone to PC, <200mb file. Just can't get through without hiccups. sweat.gif

Yeah, gonna make the phone stable in most usable state. Passing it to my sister after I iron out everything.

Still looking forward to buying GNex, cause I'm tired of trying custom ROMs (except CM's). laugh.gif

Anyone please..

Pity you la, majority seems to anti you.

Try it yourself then you get the answer. Firstly, make sure it has support for G version. smile.gif

Better wait for a matured GNex or hold the funds for SGS3. Or buy an AP non-G version or a GNote :-)

Say bye bye to Android then.

Unifi eat shit liao. Other than installing Market, most of the connection related stuff not working.

I can't connect to Samsung App, I can't register WhatsApp. Have to resort to using 3G to continue with these. doh.gif

It never gets old. shakehead.gif

Given up waiting for official ICS ROM. Samsung claimed to release ICS ROMs for S2 in Q1 2012. It's probably for Europe ... and only Europe. Hence all the leaked ROMs are Region XX. whistling.gif

Finished configuring GB, time to sleep. Will report back on battery status. Hope it's just ICS problem so dont have to send back for warranty (which is probably very difficult with AP set). sweat.gif

G'night!

one more thing, im on stock rom, are they any way to change the battery icon without installing custom rom?
quite hard to determine the % of battery with the stock icon.
*
QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 18 2012, 06:50 AM)
You cannot change battery icon without flashing custom rom BUT you can add battery icon that comes with battery % like install ZDtool free app from market or Solo Battery Widget app also free from market
*
I beg to differ.

Try this, for stock ROM. Of course, you'll need rooting.

In Android, the battery display bugged me the most. Did Apple patent it again to display percentage for battery status, or Sony does? sweat.gif

what is the best way to root a non G s2 if i wana use stock rom?
CF root?

Probably not the "best" way per se, but the easier and ChainFire's thread has the most extensive rooting kernel. So it's really easy.

Battery status from GB ROM.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Lesson learnt: the risk of opened box AP. That battery was probably a returned battery by another another, which got quick swapped with my box. Hence the 3 months accessories warranty by AP set dealers.

At least I know, problem doesnt lie in ICS. laugh.gif

The WPA supplicant file? Yeah, you can get it from a stock ROM and replace it. However, I forgot the path (it's supposed to be /etc/ something.)

No mention of fixing video recording. I assume it still not working yet?

EDIT: Noticed an obvious difference between ICS ROM (incl CM9) and current GB ROM, which is ICS ROM surf net via Wifi really makes the phone hot, at the area near the camera, while GB just chilled.

one of the reason that GalNex doesnt implement USB storage mode, but only MTP mode. to prevent data corruption accordign to anandtech.

Maybe that, and also Android will have expandable partition for apps installation, no longer limited to just 2GB.
