Yeah...I feel that Gohan usually update things he felt best (like Steve Jobs) but at times, some release are really good. Honestly.

i've tried Neak kernel, quiet good for battery life and performance, yes, siyah is like daily update rclxms.gif
*
Lemond, NEAK is seriously strong. Especially when you enable LionHeart, I tell you NEAK is pretty strong competitor for Siyah. At times, I felt that NEAK is better than Siyah.

Go for cm9 bro. Tell me how you feel before I flash whistling.gif

Added on January 24, 2012, 2:12 amUpdated: For those who asked me to test Siyah 2.6.8 with NEAK 1.3.2x, I would say NEAK beats Siyah by a close 30 minutes of screen on usage.

Of course, this is just average counting but hey, NEAK is pretty good when comes to performance + battery life.

Yala...alcohol does makes us talk nonsense. Haha! Happy CNY all~ flex.gif

Now, tell me what is your favourite governor for battery life?
For me, I am always with Lulzactive or Lionheart. If both are not working well for battery life, SmartAss2 is my choice.

enlighten me about this lionheart thing, and how to flash it?,i've download the lionheart and dont understand the use of governer something like that
*
What you do is this:
1. Load CWM
2. Go to NEAK advance
3. Active this by sequence: Conservative first than Lionheart.
4. Reboot and change governor to Conservative.

Consider this: When you enable both Conservative and Lionheart, you will 'change' Conservative to Lionheart. Lionheart is pretty good for performance + battery life.

Clear enough? rclxms.gif

*
Very true lo. I tried conservative but due to my extreme UV, conservative really lag.

I usually:
Option 1: Lulzactive
Option 2: Lionheart
Option 3: Lulzactive (screen on), SmartAss2 (screen off) [a lil lag]

You have 2 choice:
1. Call or check with samsung if it is registered
2. Call or check with the seller if they have register for you.

3 months is pretty long though.

Any 1 faced battery fully charged problem?Example when i start charging from 20%,5min later fully charged. Then after then i unplug it,reduce back 20++. i try few time and restart few time already.
*
Nope. But what you can do is this:

1. Charge til full
2. Make sure is 100% full
3. Enter CWM and select clear battery stats

You can calibrate your battery by downloading Battery Calibration app through market.

Hmm...okay try this (just trying so don't blame me ok?)

1. Charge till 100%
2. Off phone and charge til 100%
3. Once 100%, unplug and remove battery
4. Plug in charger and charge again (wait for 100%)
5. Once 100%, remove charger and on phone. Play anything for few minutes
6. Turn off, charge to 100%
7. Unplug and use until 0%
8. Run a full cycle a few times

This is the manual way of calibration for me.

See if this solve your problem...

Just bought myself an SII last week, pretty satisfied with everything except the keyboard. I find the typing kind of sluggish compared to the IPhone, prob not suitable for speed typing.

I then downloaded the ICS keyboard from the market and it made things better. Better auto correct and targeting features. However I still can't shake the feeling that the keyboard is still a lil bit slow in response when you type the same button multiple times.

Anyone feeling the same?
*
I use SwiftKey X and it never failed me. Love it so much. Definitely my default keyboard.

hmm.gif looks like an interesting ICS rom, i'll let u try first, then let u report back here. If it is good, you might just convince me to jump onto ICS bandwagon agn.

Plans once i reach home:
Download stock la2 and neak kernel as someone said screen on time better than siyah.
*
Macam I said ni...lol! >.< Revert back to NEAK as I felt NEAK more fun to play around brows.gif

The new rom sounds potential but I might wait for your reply here first before trying. TOo new to comment. If this is good, more ROMs will be updated like...immediately (grow mushroom after rain) biggrin.gif

Need some help now,so i flashed la2 just now, everything went well, then managed to boot to succesfully. So i decided to flash vertumus ics theme as the flashing removed the theme. So after i flashed, afterboot up, it kept saying status bar force close and only option was to report, after 20-30 secs it reboots agn, and whole thing starts over. Is vertumus not compatible with la2? Need some input on thisissue thanks
*
Before you flash, you must delete and uninstall all themes. If not will fc. Restore back using your backup and redo.

Ok so far andy ics rom seem smooth. Apart from some hiccup in tb restoring and sms restore, all seem fine after that. No FC. Widgetlocker seem to be not compatible with ics (will play more later).

Video playback seems fine with both stock and rockplayer. Market works. Contact synced. Camera and camcorder works. Device is not hot. All wireles working (haven't try gps am indoor now). MTP connection works can see both internal and external sd. Maybe some graphic glitch but its no biggie. Will try out for a few days.

Now I know how fallenangel felt as the buttons are inverted. Lost count of times i click the wrong choice. doh.gif  doh.gif

Buttons inverted? >.< Oh my...

QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Jan 24 2012, 04:51 PM)
How to uninstall the theme? I flashed la2, but after the flashing it seems like the ics theme was removed.

Edit: i think the status bar fc is caused by me not removing jkay deluxe after reading FAQ on vertumus ics xda page. But i remember after i flashed la2 it was there, then after a while it dissapeared, so i assumed it got deleted or something.
*
Yes, JKAY is one of them. If you have any theme installed, just remove first before flashing.

I know is quite a mess honestly...

best refer first page, if ur english sucks, here's a very simple explanation

rom is a package, inside rom may have have firmware, kernel, csc, modem(usually rom has kernel+firmware+modem, csc is optional)
kernel is a part of the rom

Like this gonna be someone before we can get v5 official. Haha
