How do I unlock my locked sets?

1. Software Unlock - supports some baseband (modem firmware) via ultrasn0w. Support 4.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, or 06.15.00 on the iPhone 3GS, or baseband 01.59.00 on the iPhone 4,

2. Hardware Unlock - via Gevey Sim (Supports the iPhone 4 on baseband higher than 01.59.00) BUT not the iOS 5 firmware and baseband

The long wait is over. You can now unlock your iPhone 4. GEVEY Ultra SIM will work for iOS version 4.1, 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.3, 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 4.3.3, 4.3.4 with baseband 1.59, 2.10, 3.10.1, 4.10.1 and (iOS 5, 5.0.1 with PRESERVE BaseBand 4.10.1)

Sounds to me that you can only upgrade to 5.0.1 if you were on a firmware with 4.10.1 baseband as you need to preserve the 4.10.1 baseband.

SHSH for 4.3.3 is saved on Tiny Umbrella , but did you add the saurik's host line ? And perhaps you didn't press the start TSS Server button. Exit recover function is made for iPhone 4. Not sure whether you could kick out of recovery mode using tiny umbrella. I would suggest you to remove every host line , and restore your iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.0.1 first . Why downgrade anyway ?

That is weird. Do a full restore to 5.0.1 again. Make sure your host file is clean (remove or put a hash # in front of any lines with gs.apple.com) and do a shift restore. If the 3Gs is a proper Maxis factory unlocked set, it should activate just fine.

If cydia says that it has the SHSH saved, then you can either set the host file to Cydia or get TU to get the SHSH from cydia and it will save it locally. This is where the TSS server is used.
