How to untether jb ipod touch 4g ios5.0.1? I've tried using the redsnow 0.9.10b4 but always failed at the 'waiting for reboot' step. The ipod always just reboot normally without jailbreak. I've already tried more than 20 times but always the same. I even already tried restoring the ipod to new ipod but still the same. Can anyone help me?

Did u put u device on dfu mode???

Yup i've done everything. In the dfu mode it says exploiting limerain, uploadsing the 1st stage, uploading 2nd stage, then waiting for reboot, but then the ipod just reboot normally without jailbreak. What's the problem here?

Make sure u point a jailbreak to u ipsw...

Hi guys..after I jbed my sis iphone 4s some of the icons suddenly went blank. But after a while (or a restart) the icon will go back to its original icon.... is it a bug in iphone 4s or jb problem?

I think that's the bug in absinthe because my ipad 2 that i jailbreak using absinthe also caused my youtube icon to be blank n my friend is also having the same prob where his app store became blank

now im stuck at cannot activate the card, in manual says to go to cydia, how do i pass this activation step?

You're doing the right thing. I think sn0wbreeze is better at creating custom firmware. I'm a Mac person so I usually use Pwnagetool with my 3Gs before. Sn0wbreeze is basically a Windows port of Pwnagetool.

now managed to activate the 3gs, currently updating cydia on first load to install ultrasnow

so redsnow sucks in creating custom ipsw... no activate option.. huh

update:

all goes well, ultrasn0w has been installed n local carrier detected.. phewwww!!!

so, in short, better use snowbreeze in windows for preserving baseband.. redsnow lack the activate options..

How to fix it???

Hey guys, finally had the time to JB my sister's iPhone4S... Everything looks good, much easier compared to when I JB-ed my 2 iPad1 a month ago.

Er, but how can I make my apps running on background while using other apps? Every time I press the home button and go back to it again, it restarts the whole application. Kinda irritates me...

Sometimes I just want to be out from the game a while and surf net and back to the game, but I noticed it has to start from the scratch again. Aargh.

I jailbreak mine Ipod touch 4G 8gb using redsnow 0.9.10b4 No problem at all.

I'm not sure if backgrounder is compatible or not with iOS 5.0.1 but that's the tweak that allows you to choose which apps you want to stay open in the background.

Your friend's windows 7 must have iTunes. The Absinthe jailbreak uses the backup/restore exploit. How do you backup and restore an iPhone? You do it with iTunes. If you don't have iTunes, Absinthe will not work.
