To do a fresh restore, download the latest firmware file for your iPhone from the link below. Please backup your iPhone before you do this

Once the firmware file has been downloaded, open up iTunes and press Shift Key and at the same time Press the Restore button (of course while the iPhone is connected to the computer). Point the dialog box to where you saved the firmware files and wait while iTunes restore your iPhone

Set it up as a new phone and jailbreak using either the Windows or Mac Absinthe.

Yeah the Dream team really delivered this time and using the Backup/Restore for the injection method is pure brilliance. I donated 10 bucks last night coz I got my FaceTime on my 4s (Middle East version don't have FaceTime .... stupid Apple) and that is worth every penny.

Awesome stuff, whole process done under 5 mins without erasing all contents and settings! Got my SBSettings and 3G Unrestrictor (0.99 upgrade).

sry noob here what is re-spring?

A respring is a refersh of the springboard.

Tell you what, open up Cydia and install SBSettings. Once SBSettings is installed, you just swipe the top status bar and all the iPhone toggles will come up. There is a button called Respring. Press that and the iPhone will respring and hopefully your white icon issues will be solved.

If not, try and install CyDelete also from Cydia and Re-spring. See if that will work as well.

Whatsapp was free one time. I guess we people will find 1000 reason to pirate if we want to.

I too having white icon on Safari. But safari was working.

clay89, please remove any reference to piracy enabling tweaks (you know what I mean).

Whatsapp was free for a couple of weeks last time (that's how I got it), so either pay the 0.99 cents (that's RM3.10) or be patient and wait for the promo.

Seriously, it's only 3 ringgit for apps that you use most. Some apps have "lite" versions for you to try and if you're happy with it, it's probably not going to cost more that RM3.50 ... I'm pretty sure you can afford it.

Is Winterboard still compatible with the 5.0.1 jb?

yup..

Let's hope it doesn't have the issues similar to the iPhone 4. iPhone 4 jailbroken with winterboard had some severe lagging issues.

Guys, is it normal that Cydia database updating takes long time?

Done Release - OK
Done Packaging - until now still updating for 40mins ady..
