In Summary, for each devices, this is what you need

1. iPhone 4s - no path to downgrade even with SHSH saved.

2. iPad 2 - can only downgrade to 4.x firmware with SHSH saved - No path to downgrade or restore to 5.0.1 even with SHSH saved.

3. iPhone 4 - can downgrade to 5.0.1 with SHSH saved + APTickets saved via iFaith Custom firmware process (link provided by Fadil)

4. iPhone 3Gs, same as iPhone 4 though for old bootrom 3Gs, they have the option to jailbreak 5.1 untethered with the latest redasn0w 0.9.10b6.

Most likely because a lot of people do not want to lose the untethered jailbreak. The only reason I would go to 5.1 is if something catastrophic happens to my wife's iPhone 4 and I had to restore to 5.1. Otherwise, no.

its iphone 4. btw most cydia apps wont work on 5.1 yet. ie bitesms.

Err Fadil, you have side business on jailbreaking iPhone is it? How many iPhone you have meh? I think every week you try and jailbreak and downgrade iPhones. Heh heh heh.

hi Bro and sis in forum~ i have a little problem here~ i am using 3gs and Jailbroken it ady~ now wanna to reset it and upgrade to ios 5.01.... but cant do it because when i reset the phone the phone will stuck and black screen and need to backup using pc only can start back... but started back with the same ios and jail brokened = =~ so any possible way to reset the phone and upgrade to ios 5.01 ? please give solution ^^

You guys all feel like the battery is improve could it be it is not JB yet? cos if you compare 5.0.1 (JB) with 5.1 (Not Jb), of cos have difference. Just my guessing actually.

i am using ios 4.3.3 , i have downloaded the shsh 5.0.1 ios and try to restore it to 5.0.1 but not really working~ so what i have to do to upgrade it to 5.0.1

o ic so i have to choose ifaith to update to ios 5.0.1 by itunes using shirt? but i use simple mode.... and cant open the shsh file to choose ifaith anymore T_T

Ah ha, I guess u got a locked set. If u didnt preserve baseband when u upgrade to ios5, then ur iPhone become expensive iPod. Then u need a gevey sim

@fadil bro, when u shake ur 4s did u hear the rattling sound or something loosing sound near camera side? i google and found out that some say is because of camera sensor/ autofocus lens and some say is vibrator. did u have that problem?
