I got the same problem with my GBC but mostly I found repair for GBA SP is a YES and NO for GB-GBA. About the charger I'm not sure but you can find it at Time Square 5th Floor just near by the McDonald restaurant. Got a GBA lightning acc today and saw tons of GB/GBC adapters.
