Long time never troll in this forum d and i got some news to share.I'm currently finding bike supplier for my bike business and currently in hand i got merida supplier from taiwan and also germany.in the process of finding supplier for Pivot cycles and other brands if possible.Need to find a mechanic for the bike shop too.It will be a small shop with decent stocks availability and mostly will focus on bike parts 1st.Shop will be located in genting klang, setapak. So for the mean time stay tune for the next update smile.gif

All the best...but I think not many LYN kaki are Merida supporters ...I stand corrected on this...

I thought Pivot KSH bring in?

*
Well not to say that it will be just merida specific shop,it will be multi brand since all the good brand already carried by other shops. If bike selling can't compete with others than still can compete on parts.Cheaper price and good service win don't you agree?I don't mind what people think of merida brand anyway, business is still business and it's still selling good in the market.

good luck bro. merida still got decent market, last week go KSH tmn bahagia full of customers. and xc riders quite like merida since hermida is riding one. current world xc champion. smile.gif

but i retired liao, any decent brand also i buy if better value laugh.gif
mau cari salesman ka? technical knowledge not bad, engineering graduate laugh.gif
*
When i bought my merida i don't even know this jose hermida fella.Bought the bike coz of the bike frame, light and sturdy.Fast when going uphill and down. But cannot compare will giant anthem those coz it's a pure XC bike.Still funding for AM/trail bike to join kiara smile.gif

Yes i wanna find tukang kelentong aka salesman in shop tongue.gif .But if know how to do technical things even better, but if dont know then can send to take course.Me myself will be taking course too.For now many preparation to do before can officially open then shop.

i know its me, but my 2k also got a certain speed.

Last time while i was working, i saw a guy cycle slow but the bike move fast. LOL??
*
You saw the guy cycle slow but the speed is fast i think because that guy using biggest chain ring and smallest cassette.Once it go smooth you dont have to cycle hard to go fast,it's like the bike is pulling you instead of you paddling hard to get it move.My bike is giving me this kind of feel when paddling smooth smile.gif

what about silver chain and black chain? Mine is black, will silver better???
*
Don't think the colour got different when cycling but if the chain itself got problem ie. jam up then it will affect when paddling.Tyre also play a role when cycling. If you use off road tyre to cycle on road then you use more energy.Change the tyre to something suitable on road ie. kenda small block 8 and so from other brand.

planning to buy 9 speed groupset..which 1 more ok? alivio or acera or deore???
n btw, wat is d dfference btween epicon 1 n epicon 2 forks??  notworthy.gif
*
I say go for Deore since it's more sturdy than acera and alivio.Difference between epicon x1 and x2 mainly on the weight and also some technology use on the fork itself. You can check their catalogue in the web.

lol, i dont mean the colour ah, i mean the material.  tongue.gif
my tyre some how drift too much, abit botak already, less friction loh, approve or not??
*
The material surely got difference for the weight and also the sturdiness.Won't so easy to snap. But maybe other sifu here can confirm back.

Tyre botak means not enough grip and you'll lose the momentum for the speed. So i guess you know what i mean smile.gif

Hi folks, am a newbie to MTBs. hope to get some advice from the otai otia sifus here. Would like to get a new MTB, budget around 1.5k. Am considering a 29' Raleigh Hydra....http://www.raleigh.my/bikes/hydra.html

Really love the look and feel of the bike but slightly tall for me...I think I should be looking at a 16" but the Hydra feels like its bigger. Anyone checked out the bike and any comments?
*
Sadly to tell you that none of the sifus or otai here try the raleigh bike since it's out of their league. But i can tell you 29" bike is a good bike and for a 16" it's look bigger/taller coz of the wheel is 29".For you to make sure it's suit you of not you need to try it out for yourself.Wrong size will make you feel back discomfort and shoulder discomfort.

Try to save up few more hundred and get yourself a scott 29" or giant 29" or merida 29".The price will be around 1.8k -1.9k if im not wrong.

Anyway, not saying Merida is not good. Just that the designs are catered to XC style than AM/FR/DH. I look at design usually... Hehe...

I think in the forum people dont like Merida cause most of us here prefer Trail/downhill riding....not so much XC style riding...

Which is why most guys here hardly post XC bikes ...Merida seems more XC oriented ..even though they may have Trail/AM/DH (ada ke?)..so not to say Merida really bad la ...

For for me I enjoy any MTB riding ...XC also can...but personally I just dont favor Merida ...personal preference loh ...
*
btol tu,Merida not famous/glamour in trail/am/downhill.Only XC yang lebih lebih tongue.gif
