Yesterday I also notice quite a number of people using bigger tyre in front and smaller ones for the rear...wonder how it feels...is it because the front is where traction is more important?

but I experienced wheel spin on my rear tyre during steep technical climbs...is because of the tyre..or too much weight was shifted in front?

Is it?  hmm.gif but this is at Kiara...am sure its gonna be tough
As Snapshot mentioned ...better consider Specialized, Giant etc...Mongoose is ok la...at the end of the day..it depends on your budget and your commitment to the sport...if you re really commited ...then get a good frame...cause its the main foundation of the bike...the others u can upgrade later...just my 2sen...

hehe good... in b4 u also start 'just get the color'.. laugh.gif

Added on January 26, 2012, 10:35 amklmbh charge member rm70 per year.
with that, it come with free monthly bash, free Jc and free epic hash.
last year they also give each member a water proof bag.

once u join, and if u follow each bash, u see very little 'need' to join jamboree especially the bash trail have certain lvl of std.

Technical Question: Lightest 5-inch Frame/Bike

Guys anyone can share their 2 cents on this? No carbons please ...just good ol Alus...
Just wanna see which 5inch Travel Bike is the lightest
*
Giant for cheapest n value.

mau boutique bike then
yeti asr5 - 5 inc
yeti 575 -5.75 inch
sc LT - 5.5 inch
sc TRC - ~5inch but carbon.

For SC, pls get one with VPP link else i dont think they worth the $..
Wan to differential VPP and none, just look at the SC web price if u malas.
VPP is about 2.5 times more exp for same travel due to the royalty for copyright.

Hmmmm yeah la...so far I googled its among the lightest...but one problem....Giant problem...hehehe I dont fancy it ...just my preference

Today I went to Specialized...waaaa...boxes of Stumpy arrived...26 some more...but no Evo...I wonder why  hmm.gif

For most all purpose ride, max is 5.75 FS. You will not need more unless u go for purist DH; else you will having very challenge ride as it's PITA is climb. Generally there is no lifter in Msia except in Bkt Ramli, so what come down must go up 1st (by pedaling).

Now even to decide between 5, 5.5 and 5.75 is VERY dif. blush.gif
