hear alot people saying this is the good stem...
still considering this brand....
may i know why you choose this brand?
*
Because its Thompson...Brand like Tony said is a matter of preference ...Some people like Adidas ...some people like Nike ...

For me I read magz/internet article reviews ....at least have a basis for comparing ...apart from that I ask my sifus ....those I trust ...these guys dont necessarily recommend the most expensive stuffs hahahah....

Same factory only....but do they do re-badging? Like I buy Inspira I get a Lancer kinda thing?

Another I notice MArzocchi not so popular as RS and Fox...why is that? I think they just dont have the Marketing and Branding funds like the other 2 ...

Check out the new graphics on RS

What happen to Blur LT? heheheh....
But ugly la the graphics ...so kelam kabut ...
I think the Lime color ....the more you see it...the more it grows on you...
But its a seasonal color la...after awhile it ll be out of fashion ...
In the end....black, red, white etc still the preferred color

but never heard of that brand oso...

Taiwan vs UK...

ur choice...becoz if a Hope fails....the replacement is easy to come by...
*
Yeap...agree with Xand....hows the warranty on it? Any reviews and ratings done? Looks like its Chris King rip off ...(probably from same kilang)
So far Hope hubs rarely get poor rating ....and usually their build quality also good.......

From my experience last time...I bought an Aerozine Cranks as recommended by the shop (which I would not name in Sungai Way)...to be fair to the guy ..it was also based on my budget at the time...

Cut the story short ...It didnt last me long..the chain ring bent easily (possibly caused my chain suck ) ...in the end I changed to XT ...

Bro Tim, it cost nearly 2k wo... me not as rich as you eh.
No $$$$ printing machine.

if must get Thule then really gotto save up and wait.... may be just go to car accesories shop and cut a big thin carpet to keep my car clean la....
*
Another option is to get it from the hardware shop...use the thing they use to cover the floor during painting....another cheaper option is the rear mounting bike rack...that one will tend to scratch your car ....and I wouldnt recommend putting more than one bike on it....if you have to ...take out the wheels so there is less pressure on the rack and car...

Santa Cruz tapau Trek

Greg Minnaar beat Aaron Gwin by over six-tenths of a second.

Gwin probably sneezed at one of the corner to loose it...hahahah

just read MBA for april, decided i need a dropper seatpost, anyone got any idea how they are?

What do you want to know? Quite a number of us been using it ...

And in the recent DH WC Racing at SA a lot of the racers were using it as there are a few sections which requires pedaling ...

like how much they are? and how often do you guy drop the post? do you now ride like skywalker on a speederbike thru kiara?
*
Price: RM600-800, KS probably cheap but need to know how to maintain....RS Reverb lightest, higher rating...im using KS, Tim use CB Joplin, Cypher and Xand use Reverb

This is based on my own experience...

I ride a HT and my fav trail is Kiara...which is quite technical. So having a dropper post really makes a difference for me....with a HT I need to be a bit more accurate and move around the cockpit a bit...meaning I need to shift my weight back and forth, side to side more. The biggest benefit for me is it allows you to lower your center of gravity therefore making it more stable during downhills ...I m not sure if it makes me faster ...but it makes me more assured and confident going downhill. ..so I do use it quite a bit when riding...

I also dont like the idea of stopping to lower the seat...cut steam

Another factor is ...the saddle tends to get stuck in between my fat thighs ...its not a fun feeling when you re about to go downhill..can throw of your balance...

Having said a lot of riders been surviving without it ...I think if you can shift around your cockpit with ease ...without needing to adjust it...then you probably dont need it..just like the XC guys...

You ll also need to know how to maintain it cause with mud it can jam seatpost...covering with unused Tyre tube and Greasing it will help...under heavy usage you ll probably need to send it for service once a year

Pros: Allows you to move around the cockpit easily...seamless riding experience (no need to stop and adjust)..more stable ride as you can go lower on the bike

Cons: Adds weight to the bike...requires TLC and maintenance

Hope that helps

Can live without suspension or gears, but not without a dropper post  blush.gif

Hahaha...another point i didnt mention is ...it also helps when you climb...especially when you re required to power through a climb...some are ok to just pedal off the seat ...like myself I tak larat ...push the lever ...seat up, sit on it and pedal....as though you push a NoS button on a car hahahah...

Death of Road Cyclist

On a more serious note..the recent death of a road cyclist should serves as a remind for us to be safe and cautious when riding ...especially on road...for those who like riding to the trail...
Watching the CCTV clip is just scary...lets assume all drivers dont see us...so wear bright color clothes, have necessary lighting and be patient and not rush on the road..make sure you bike is in proper working condition
