Hi guys. One question here.
I heard that pressing the brake lever without the wheel installed will damage the disc brake calliper.
So how can I prevent from accidentally pressing the lever when travelling?
(frame put inside car boot with both wheels removed)

Hi all sifu sifu....

I am thinking to take up MT biking again, after departed with my bike for about 20 years. Yup, long long ago when by MTB was stolen just before SPM.
Now waistline is really growing and really need to put a stop to it. Previously was amateur which frequent KSH when they initially set up at TTDI.
Do hope to join you guys during your regular session.

But first, need to get myself a bike. Anything good to recommend with budget around 4-5k for AM bike?
Don't really have a particular preference as really lost touch with the current trend.

Basic preference as follow, without knowing what it the real impact sad.gif

- new bike (not secondhad)
- hard tail
- prefer europe/us made than Taiwan (but not sure if my budget could get anything)

cheers!

Ryan

With a 4k for a merida AM bike you'll get Merida 120 or maybe the new 140.Depends on specs.

sb-66 sucks....it sucked the moment i heard the bearings squeked when a sb-66 passed me in 2K. could be an isolated case but that put me off big time.

majority of frames are from Taiwan. why not a giant or merida? best bang for buck if you are not into looks or branding. they make frames for most of the major brands as well.

Yeah, the design n branding sort of the main factor for now.
I Like Specialized the most, but I is way above my budget.

Guess Merida is sort of the most sensible choice.
