P/S : We ran this via cisco business router, the home router provided by Time probably will get bit lower performance.

Feel free to buzz me if you need any help. Thanks.

Hi, can you give a test on the 100Mbps line? I'm interested in subscribing to it since my apartment in KL already got TIME 100Mbps Fibre coverage. smile.gif

Hi guys, does anyone know whether the 1-month trial for the 100Mbps Fiber Home package is still available? If yes, anyone know the required documents to apply for it? nod.gif

Just got TIME installed in my place for the 1-month trial experience. Quite good for now. Tried downloading with a premium account from one of the file hosting website, maxed at approximately 2 mBps, which is near to 20 mbps. Not sure if I'm experiencing the 100mbps Home Fibre package. But since it's still trial, can't really complain much. nod.gif

Thanks to yeapch01 for the help though. thumbup.gif

hi guys,

do you all need any additional modem/router with the time setup? or just using the cisco time provided?
*
They provide the router as well as the modem for the installation. nod.gif

I'm a bit let down nowadays. When they first installed it, I could reach 2 mBps download rate using IDM (which is still pretty much far from 100 mbps), now getting to 1.5 mBps is already a rare occurence. I'm still going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they haven't had sufficient infrastructure to support the 100 mbps (or at least close to it) in my area, which is KLCC. unsure.gif

Ma*** is depending very much on TM Unifi as its backbone. Though some areas they built their OLT, but the backbone is still by TM.
You will also notice some areas where Ma*** do lay their own fiber but that's last mile.

For Residential buildings, Time is not the only party that decides, Astro is also playing a role.
For Business buildings, Time will decide whether to invest based on the ROI just like normal business.

Feel free to PM me if you would like to know more details.

Thanks.

I can vouch for this. My boss applied for M's fiber plan, but then he needed to wait for almost 2 months before it got installed. On several occasions, the M's guys were there to install, but they have to wait for TM's, and in other occasions, the other way around happened. Such a hassle. rclxub.gif

This is why I actually go for TIME. I've said that I currently I got only like around 1 mBps on a single download, but when I do parallel download each of them is like 0.8-1.0 mBps. The max I've tried is 3 downloads at once, with the total download rate around 2.5 mBps, which translates into 20 mbps. Still good since the TIME Fibre 100Mbps only costs RM179, while TM's 20 Mbps costs RM249. nod.gif

I'm currently still under my 1-month trial period, so I don't think I'm eligible to complain. But let's see if the big disparity between the promised and factual speed persists when I become a full-time customer. rolleyes.gif

Hi Bro,

Do post some speedtest results with (cable connection) , if you need further tests, do let me know.

Cheers smile.gif

I'll do it later on after I got out of this 1-month trial period and become a full-time customer. I still don't feel right to complain much when I got things for free. biggrin.gif

It seems that my usage has exceeded 100GB, because checking with speedtest.net, I got a result of only 1 Mbps. How can I check my quota for the 100Mbps plan? hmm.gif

Hi Bro,

Time has implemented the quota checking feature at your selfcare portal, you may login to check.

Thanks.

Thanks for responding. I already checked my quota and it did state that I passed the 100GB quota. This is funny though as when I look at the record, it doesn't show me my usage for each day, just suddenly shows the total as exceeding 100GB. sad.gif

I keep track of my downloads in my download manager, and from my record, I haven't passed the quota. There might be a mistake in my record that's why I want to crosscheck with TIME's record. But apparently, the usage history in TIME's self-care portal can't provide information for usage in day-to-day basis. hmm.gif

Hi Bro,

Try to check on the Usage History. The 100GB of quota means it consists of all data flow, both dl & ul.

Thanks.

Already checked, Bro. That's why I can say that "TIME's self-care portal can't provide information for usage in day-to-day basis". But today I check again and I think I'm back at around 30 Mbps. I think yesterday's issue is some kind of error from the TIME's server or something. hmm.gif

Hi Bro...

There are numerous ppl reported that their speed dropped down to +-1Mbps ...since Friday....
Please monitor for sometime & do let us know whether the problem comes back.

Another thing is are you saying you are getting 30Mbps (cable connection) for your 100Mbps ?
*
Haven't checked with cable yet. I got 20-30 Mbps download rate connected to TIME's wifi router. tongue.gif

Hi guys, since I really want to test how good my 100Mbps Fiber connection is, I have bought a LAN cable to connect my laptop to the router. However, when I connect these devices with the LAN cable, I got no connection at all. Can someone help me setup the connection with a cable? Thanks beforehand. tongue.gif
