hi folks, thinking of subscribing to the Time fibre 2M Value (RM99, no wifi router) package.

Question is, i brought home my Netgear N3000 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem router (was using this when i was in australia).

Since no wifi router is provided, can i use my netgear wireless router with the fibre service to transmit wireless connection in my apartment? Will the configuration be pretty straight forward?

Many thanks.
*
Sure, why not.

Just set your Netgear to PPPoE and connect. The configuration are straight forward, not like unifi where there is setting for vlan etc.

Me myself change the linksys e1000 provided by TIME and replace it with MikroTik.

What magical router are you using ezinger? Looking to replace my aging DDWRT with a new magical high powered one... which is apparently what you're using...

Also, random TdC personnel in thread - TdC CMO mentioned that budget has been approved for Taman Desa FTTH for condos. Any updates on that?
*
You may consider MikroTik. Reliable hardware and ROS.

Does Time Fibre allows dyndns to be used?
*
Should be okay. Been using DynDNS with flashed DD-WRT E1000 and also MikroTik without any problem.

hi, i had been using unifi previously but now i moved house to a new area, right now i'm at jalan peel, but i'm considering on moving to taman kobena or pandan jaya or pandan indah area. does the time fibre home got coverage here?

is the quota really unlimited? like unifi? because i download quite a lot of stuff everytime i use the iternet.

thanks for any help you can give.

bro you might want to search for condo availability here http://www.time.com.my/help/availabilitysearch.asp

as for quota, there is no limit. no throttle as well.
