Hi Bro

Thanks for your interest in Time Broadband.

It actually very much depend on your personal usage,

In general if refer to Fibre to the Home as per below ,

8 Mbps unlimited packages is good for average surfer which require occasional downloand.

100 Mbps packages is good for gamer that average download and upload per month is less than 100gb since there is qouta of 100gb per month.

Kindly check our pm for further detail.

Cheers.
Where is the PM?

How is Time Home Fibre compared to Unifi in terms of actual download speeds? Is Time more stable? Why is Time advertising their fibre as being the only 100% real fibre in the market?

Can someone clarify?

Hi Bro,

All FTTx providers are providing their service on best effort basis. But I believe what you wanna know is the experiences sharing that either Time or Unifi is better in terms of stability & speed.

I highlighted more details about this in PM.

We can't comment on which is more stable. It depends on how the service is being delivered.
Eg. High Rise buildings (generally) : Time is using 100% Fibre, meaning from the point it enters into your building to the point where it plugs into your ONU.
Unifi is based on VDSL, which means Fibre is until MDF, goes up to your unit is copper-based.

In this case, Time wins.

But there are lots of properties where Unifi is also using 100% fibre, eg. landed houses or newer buildings.
All fibres used by TM or Time for FTTx is the same, though brand may be different.
Then this case it will come to other determining factors such as equipments like FTB, FWS, FIC etc.
Network design is then vital.

Time advertises 100% Fibre means all the way from its OLT --> FDP/FTB --> SPLT --> ONU , all FIBRE, NO COPPER.

Lastly, TIME's service wins a long way over T_ .  rclxm9.gif
Alright. Sounds good. My concern really is im planning to replace Astro with something else which requires good internet streaming. I haven't found that product yet as I quite a noob when it comes to IT.

Im located at TTDI, KL.

1) How does the Maxis Home Fibre compare to Time Home Fibre in terms of quality of connection, downtime, availability of English HD movie websites for downloads, etc.

2) If i get the 15Mbps Time Home Fibre package, whats the typical download/upload speeds i can expect?
