you need to understand how the internet works. just because you have 10mbps doesn't you can download 10mbps from anywhere on the internet. you need to take the server you are downloading from into account.

below is a screenshot of me downloading office from msoft. as you can see my download speed averages around 50mbps.

Already slow comnection somemore the line keep disconneCting. Just use time for 2 days and i am already pissed mad with them. Line is slow , keep disconnecting. My streamyx last time was so stable and nvr had any problems. Now this time is giving me so many problems!

If they dont settle my problem within these two days, i am going to cancel this time fibre rubbish line!

I have just tested the download from download.com and yes, the download speed is very unsatisfying 30kb/s-60kb/s, but only if I do not use parallel download, if I use download manager it reach about 150kb/s on 4 chunk and 300kb/s on 8 chunk. Just my 2cent, there might be some bandwidth slimming applied on CNET, try to test download file from some other site,
I am not sure whats wrong, but current solution u can use download manager that support multi chunk/parallel splitting

Standard download speed
[attachmentid=3036767]

4 Chunk Speed using Downthemall
[attachmentid=3036770]
8 chunk speed using Downthemall
[attachmentid=3036772]
Check the router also, sometimes bad router setting may affect (but don't touch anything if don't know), if the download manager also show slow speed, try to escalate it to the customer service.

Hope it helps.

ps: Max chunk in dta is 10chunk

Hey bro, i downloaded not only from download.com. I tried many other websites and all give me bullcrap speeds. Even my streamyx 4mb package can download files at around 200kbps from the same sites i tested.

With streamyx 4mb i can stream youtube 720hd without buffering.but with time 10mbps, youtube videos keep buffering at 720hd . My streamyx 4mb is so much more faster than time 10mbps.

I dl torrents using my 4mb line can get 300-400kbps . With time, i can get 200-300kbps. Wtf right?

Everything i do online is slower on time which is why i have cancelled time 10mb package after just a few daysusage and applied unifi vip20 already.

Time might be 100% fibre optic . But somehow streamyx with copper line still gives much faster speeds! Cant wait for unifi now!

Well, I am streamyx 4mbps user b4 also, and same can't be said for streamyx though. I need vpn just to enable p2p run at higher than 20kb/s, and streaming, tough luck. Streaming, especially the live one, can just disconnect in between now and then, not to say a quite high ping (probably High Rise Building) for gaming. But in the end, different location has different speed, so can't really say much, some area Unifi are good (friends from damansara experience good speed there, while pj quite unstable). Customer service wise, I have to admit some of them are quite not that knowledgeable (I called the CS 4 times, and all of them say my place is not covered, LoL), but lucky I got one contractor which is nice, hehehehe.
In the end, all ISP is on best effort basis, if they can't, then they won't. Maybe its not ur luck to use Time, but enjoy your Unifi, its also not bad.

Yeap, different location different results i guess.. Just choose what is best for u

Finally cancelled time and installed unifi vip20. My goodness, the unifi is superbly fast and super stable! Youtube now loads so quickly. Loving unifi now!
The best thing is time is 100% fibre whereas unifi is fibre till the box outside my condo. Then from the box till house is copper line. But the unifi line is so much better!

whats the penalty you have to pay to cancel?
*
No penalty at all. Cuz i only used for like 3-4 days . And even if they charged penalty , i would screw them upside down since the speed was so pathetic.

Happily enjoying my unifi vip20 now.
