@mamapamsia
I have just tested the download from download.com and yes, the download speed is very unsatisfying 30kb/s-60kb/s, but only if I do not use parallel download, if I use download manager it reach about 150kb/s on 4 chunk and 300kb/s on 8 chunk. Just my 2cent, there might be some bandwidth slimming applied on CNET, try to test download file from some other site,
I am not sure whats wrong, but current solution u can use download manager that support multi chunk/parallel splitting
Standard download speed
[attachmentid=3036767]
4 Chunk Speed using Downthemall
[attachmentid=3036770]
8 chunk speed using Downthemall
[attachmentid=3036772]
Check the router also, sometimes bad router setting may affect (but don't touch anything if don't know), if the download manager also show slow speed, try to escalate it to the customer service.
Hope it helps.
ps: Max chunk in dta is 10chunk
Hey bro, i downloaded not only from download.com. I tried many other websites and all give me bullcrap speeds. Even my streamyx 4mb package can download files at around 200kbps from the same sites i tested.
With streamyx 4mb i can stream youtube 720hd without buffering.but with time 10mbps, youtube videos keep buffering at 720hd . My streamyx 4mb is so much more faster than time 10mbps.
I dl torrents using my 4mb line can get 300-400kbps . With time, i can get 200-300kbps. Wtf right?
Everything i do online is slower on time which is why i have cancelled time 10mb package after just a few daysusage and applied unifi vip20 already.
Time might be 100% fibre optic . But somehow streamyx with copper line still gives much faster speeds! Cant wait for unifi now!
