I'm planning to un-subscride Axtro.  Now hardly watch, only my daughter watching Nick/CN/Disney.  The rest are repeating and paying >RM100 / month.

Now with our IPTV, what you guys think?

I on the TVBox yesterday, and it slows down other activities like surfing, etc, some sites i surfed even got error.  Off it and solve prob.

If upgrade to vip10, will it help? Can I limit the TVbox's cap / rate? if yes, how?
is VIP5 or VIP10 free channel the same?
The channels are quite limited.. what you guys think?

Thanks.

i think got ip conflict

Yes, I think I read the same thing also, 8mbps. But in any case it shouldn't interfere with our internet cos the Huawei with its fibre connection can take much more. I don't know how fast it supports but the Huawei is an ONT in a GPON network where the G stands for Gigabit!

That one is the Interface status page from my Mikrotik router. This is a true geek router and relatively cheap too. 5 gigabit ports. Mine no wifi. Here's the whole status page again. My iptv is off now as you can see.
[attachmentid=2688002]

Next one is from my office BIZ20. I remotely login to check status. As you can see, not much work is being done.
[attachmentid=2688060]

Very configurable. My fav feature, the QoS which is very configurable. Below you can see my QoS queues. Q7 & Q8 are my Bittorrent traffic. I prioritize them lower so I can browse, email almost like normal even while BT is running full speed.
[attachmentid=2688022]

Security wise also quite good. I use some firewall examples from the internet but still learning about this. For example, you can ssh to my router and try to login, after a few login attempts it will blacklist your IP, after that you can't even connect anymore. Here you can try, my current IP is 175.139.163.25.

Vigor lagi teruk $480 for non-wifi version. I think 700+for wifi version is it? Crazy?
n56u slightly cheaper but still too expensive for me. also got glitch where the hardware NAT must be turned off for VPN connections. Dunno whether it's been fixed in latest firmware.

Having said that, I'm guilty of using Apple Airport Extreme which is also expensive. But nice design and got Apple logo so it's ok.  whistling.gif

hmm whats that software use to monitor the connections?

Mikrotik routers have their own software called winbox, Windows only. I'm a Mac user so I run mine using Wine & X11. That's why the UI looks odd.

The router has web login, telnet, ssh & snmp and also a API for 3rd party tools. For the latter there's an iphone app, TikTool, and on sourceforge, a php project called rosinfo.
*
that winbox thing seems easy to use biggrin.gif
that winbox program just for mikrotik modem?

i cant see to use it .... currently using 1mbps streamyx + DSL-2640b router modem

Depends on the router. For DIR-615, for example, start with say 200 connections and slowly edge your way down till you find a comfortable number. I think I had mine at 100 for quite some time with no probs but router slows down after 2 weeks or so. So just reboot every 2 weeks.
oh ok i think will reboot few days or everyday lolx so not a problem it think

Hi all, I have seen Unifi's booth being set up in my residential area. The salesperson said that Unifi is available, but when I checked Unifi's website, it seems that my area was not listed yet. I have attempted to call the call center and I was given the same answer that it hasn't cover my area.

Would like to know how to identify whether the booth is a genuine one or a scam?
*
haha yeah i got the same thing .... i registered but they haven launched yet... last time i saw they connect those unifi stuff .... but haven my area haven launch yet

Morning.

Anyone using TM Online Guard Plus?

Received an email from Unifi giving it to us for free download.
Unifi services vulnerable to virus attacks?

Or it's still the old skool info about viruses; don't download or open files from an unknown source.

My PC was infected with Trojan Horse, Ramnit virus as we speak.
Still have not format it yet.

Maybe I opened an infected file.

*
u din use any antivirus meh?
