Got my installation on 04/02/2012 at high rise. Suppose installation only took less than 2 hours. The technician setup everything perfectly but the wireless router give problem almost 1 to 2 hours cos no internet connection. Technician go back downstairs to the STB room again to test. Everything seems perfect and up as per the technician.
Go back up to my house to configure the wireless router again, but still no internet connection. The technician suspect my unifi password is wrong. Luckily he got other customers password used other customers to configure the router and it work. Damn the technician said !@#$%^$ to the TM back office who gave him wrong password. Now he asked me to temporary used other customer password(account) to use the internet first. Like that also can really Malaysia Boleh land. He said will fix it for me and come back tomorrow which is supposed today 05/02/2012. Wait wait until 6pm SMS me cannot fix and come to my house cos got emergency case outside. I said alright then since I got internet to use and mybill haven't start yet until my account is settled. Just that I still cannot use Hypp TV but got internet and telephone will be nice already. Hehehe.

Hope the technician will come tomorrow to fix my account and setup everything perfectly with the Hypp TV too. Fingers crossed.

Good to know that someone else is still keeping the 1515 email like me. I've been changing email from yahoo to streamyx to gmail to penangfon to streamyx again and now unifi, I think keeping a permanent username@tm.net.my avoid me from having to remember so many different emails. I use MS Outlook in my PC that pull all the email from various pop servers to the PC.

my house is double storey, and i'm using one laptop, phone and ipad 2 for online when im in room, the signal i get seem not strong enough.. and is it lan cable CAT6 will improve the performance ?

I am staying in condo & therefore using VDSL & used to have this random & intermittent packet loss issue that caused problems with the uplink speed, usually the speed became almost zero. Multiple complaints & visits by technicians failed to resolve the issue. This problem lasted for 7 months!

Thanks to rizvan, after I highlighted it here in LYN, he managed to bring the matter up to TM & finally, they fixed it - apparently its an issue with the fiber transmitter at the MSAN and that it is a new issue that TM wasn't aware of earlier. Since it is fixed, have been getting stable & fast connection for 1.5 months now.

i have used both RT56U and 1043ND  not everyone rely on their parents.

i tell you for those keep saying rt56u overprice try to use it at least once then say it. The range of the wifi coverage is awesome and even at low signal the signal is strong unlike 1043ND when low signal line become unstable. The wifi i tested can cover until the opposite site of the road without issue. The place i put the router asus rt56u it handle hell alot of concurrent connnections at least 50 wifi computer connected for network printing, internet browsing and network transfer its so stable no crashes and lost connection. Doesnt mean it doesnt meet your feature means its overpriced its only overpriced if you do not know how to utlize it cheers

Average desktop is about 20 computers haven't include phones each person average  2 phones connected to wifi x 20 = about 40 connections Some client bring notebook. Running unifi biz 20.

RTN-56U have 128 RAM capable for 300k sessions :-)

Hi all, I have seen Unifi's booth being set up in my residential area. The salesperson said that Unifi is available, but when I checked Unifi's website, it seems that my area was not listed yet. I have attempted to call the call center and I was given the same answer that it hasn't cover my area.

Would like to know how to identify whether the booth is a genuine one or a scam?

LOL prob is if I sign up at the booth, how would I ensure that it's a genuine agent and not run away with my deposits? Are there any advance payments needed on the spot, anyway?
