the point is the tm contractor dont need to drill my wall since im renovating my house.

So i'll just lay an empty pipe from the distribution box till my store. so when they come and install, the fiber will just pop out to the store and install the btu inside there along with the router.

Is your taman's Unifi using green box or pole? If green box then there should have been an existing manhole for telephone service to your house. You can use the same trunking for Unifi.

Is that anything I can do to upgrade my streamyx without losing my old telephone number?
*
Yes you can. Why not? No problem with that at all.

QUOTE(stupidbump @ Mar 26 2012, 08:24 AM)
Bro, the upgrade promo, is it automatically applied or I will have to do something in order to get this promo?
*
The agent or kedai TM you are going to register from must slot you in for this promo.

Routers a few but BTU none so far. Even if there is its not stable with unifi. However the BTU provided by TM is not too bad.

So you mean we still can keep our existing phone number on unifi when we upgrade from streamyx to unifi and cancel the copper line?

still thinking whether wanna upgrade from current plan (rm88 1mbps + rm26 phone line rental) to unifi vip5.
regarding the phone line from unifi, it can support multiple telephone connection ? Currently got upstairs and downstairs phone unit.

wonder how much is the installation fee if pull the cable and install on 1st floor or 2nd floor instead of ground floor(ground floor have to go through different wall section and might end up require much longer cable to route), both have direct line of sight to the pole (no obstacle)

ok to make things simple, after you upgrade to unifi you can still maintain the number that was attached to your streamyx. Unifi comes bundled with a new phone line. So there will be 2 different numbers assuming you didnt terminate the old number. Yes unifi line can support multiple telephone connection, you can also add additional DECT phone to avoid messy wiring.

Installation will depend on the contractor, on the installation date they will give you an exact figure and then you can nego with them from there till you are satisfied.

Hi, thanks rattan for the reply. The reason I want combo device is because of the messy wiring and I prefer using single plug... haha. Is there no BTU for VDSL connection?

For maintaining the old phone line, it is provided that u have a landed property right? Because UNIFI for high rise property is using the same VDSL telephone line, so you must terminate the old line, am I right? (Just want to clarify)

Highrise or landed, you can still maintain the old phone number. I have done it for so so many of my customers.

Hi there, im using unifi for 1 year+ last last night my dlink tm wireless router spoilt. So i bought another tp-link TD-W8961ND for it, the seller told me this can support unifi. I tried to connect only the tplink and go in modem access to configure everything but it seems cant work.

BTU internet light blinking, other all ok
Wireless router WAN, LAN1 ok, but DSL and internet no light

I read through the guide at klseet for w8960ND but cant get it work too, the modem configuration page is totally different with mine, btw my firmware version is 1.0.0 build 100722 Rel 05210

How can i configure it so it can connect the BTU? Anyone can provide me a step by step guide?

Called up unifi and CSR confirmed that I am entitled for the 3 months promo price.
However, I need to go to nearest TMPoint to apply for the previous streamyx package to be terminated.

Just want to update some of the following:

RT-N12-C1
- NEW from ASUS
- Tested and initial custom firmware is out

RT-N16
- NEW official FW 3.0.0.3.108

RT-N56U - Custom by Padavan
- For RT-N56U users, check out the Padavan's enhancement work!
- To me, it's impressive, especially the 2.4GHz spectrum, the best so far I can get on my laptop thumbup.gif

Some ask about the new ASUSWRT release date, my latest information indicate it will roll out to the following:
RT-N66U / RT-N16 - Immediate availability
RT-N53 / RT-N65U - around May
RT-N56U - around June
RT-N13U-C1 / RT-N63 - around Aug

I'm afraid all other current models which is not in the list above won't have the ASUSWRT ....

For OpenWRT lover cool.gif

TL-MR3420 v1.2
- only managed to get vlan.500 working sweat.gif
- need help from others if can get the vlan.600 IPTV working

Note: For both the 1043 & 3420 with the USB port, now can install USB+SWAP+ExtRoot+<packages you like> nod.gif

TL-WR740N v4.2
- same like above, only can get vlan.500 working ....
- probably the cheapest for UniFi internet only ?! tongue.gif

TL-WR941ND v3.2
- I've done the manual setup steps based on Rizvanrp's config file (thx buddy!) on Ver3.2
- Same steps should work on other Ver3x

Phew that's it for time being, gtg for work, do enjoy your toys with UniFi ! laugh.gif

Oh btw, during weekend, saw those UniFi RM30/mth for many channels flying everywhere on the screen, my emails and SMSs ... sweat.gif

Can't believe it's true, so Sunday check TM website, it's true woh drool.gif

So grab my remote, follow the "i" instruction until the screen where it require me to enter the 6 digits pin, but no matter what I entered, it refuse ....

No choice have to call the chargeable 1300 ... CS line:
- talk to 2 support staff
- they reset everything with new STB password
- the 6 digits pin still won't work
- worst, it got lock out and cannot even enter sweat.gif

Luckily they escalate and immediately transfer my line to next level, believed to be the technical department:
- another tech lady said will re-set everything again
- I told her was done twice already still won't work
- but she insisted to re-do sweat.gif
- fine, re-do, but still won't work (as expected la!) cry.gif

After spending - spent over 2 hours on the phone on Sunday morning till noon, chargeable somemore, I got a bit anygry mad.gif and told them off:
- do whatever you can over there
- i'm not going to waste my time anymore
- i'm not going to pay for TM's problem anymore

and just hangup the phone and go out Sunday jalan-jalan.

By evening when I got home, quickly turn-on the STB, phew, all done, all the RM30 value package with loads of HD channels all there ! drool.gif

No matter what was transpired, compare to the past, TM-UniFi support does do their part to get things done, even on a Sunday after screaming by a hot customer like me tongue.gif

Anywhere, I personally think the RM30 is really worth, so if you have the 6 digits PIN code issue, better call and ask them to subscribe directly nod.gif
