mybe you can try run aida64 memory bench to find the faster one. from the list, i choose 8-8-8-30-1T 1572 1.5V @ 3.4GHz
my deneb has less perfomance 1800CL9 compare to 1600CL8 with same setting, only lower the multi ram and timing (CL9-->CL8) only

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 3 2012, 12:25 PM) Ok ill try it after jumaat.... btw how bout 8-8-8-30-1T 1572 1.5V @ 3.4GHz vs 9-8-9-30-1T 1738 1.5V @ 3.4GHz? currently im plying flight simulator x and quite happy with 9-8-7-24-1T 1667 1.5V @ 4.0GHz FSB250 NB 2758.7MHz but im curious to get better ram+cpu performance i use aida64 memory bench to find which setting is faster. wow kinda high nb/freq you have there where is dato' kunta, need your help here This post has been edited by lengchai86: Feb 3 2012, 12:30 PM

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 3 2012, 12:50 PM) AFAIK high nb/freq can help better overclocking...isn't it? of course but mine only can get around 2.4Ghz cpu/nb fsb 240x15=3.6Ghz proc clock. mine deneb 945

what dato' kunta means was this on aida64, click tools>cache and memory benchmark » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « click start benchmark. then look at memory score (read write etc) compare with other setting » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 3 2012, 05:13 PM) CPU-NB voltage set to auto...currently it shows 1.49-1.50V Yeah i mean higher cpu-nb will improve performance (oc result not oc process ) thx for ur input btw when you set 8-8-8-24-1T @ 1540GHz, what is your ram voltage. 1.65V? i think cpu/nb volt at 1.49V-1.50V is a bit high

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 3 2012, 05:18 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I have instability issue (BSOD) when i change cpu nb volt from auto to 0.5(1.17v)
So i started oc from scratch: 1. CPU-NB + RAM oc (STABLE)
CPU 3400Mhz auto fsb 255 RAM 1700Mhz 1.6V 9-9-9-24-1T CPU-NB 2550Mhz 0.15(1.277V) NB 1.275V HTL 2040Mhz auto
2. CPU + CPU-NB + RAM oc (STABLE)
CPU 4032Mhz 1.46V fsb 252 RAM 1680Mhz 1.6V 9-9-9-24-1T CPU-NB 2550Mhz 0.15(1.277V) NB 1.275V HTL 2016Mhz auto
Will try to play with timings when i have time soon... when you set the cpu/nb at 1.17 what is the speed of npu/nb then.. QUOTE 2200mhz 1.225v 2500mhz-2600mhz 1.26-1.275v 2800mhz-3100mhz 1.3v-1.375v quote from here

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 4 2012, 06:30 PM) Ooh my bad...the cpu/nb was 2758.7MHz actually at same cpu/nb was set to auto (1.49-1.5V) but bro kuntawakaw said it was too high so i tried manually set the voltage by adding 0.05V cpu/nb offset (1.17V) 1.17V for 27XXMHz is very low. 2700Mhz i think can set around 1.27-1.28V according to the link that i attach there. indeed 1.35V for cpu/nb is consider very high oredy. last time mine at 2500Mhz need at least 1.26V iinm

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 4 2012, 07:23 PM) Agreed...my 0.15 is border to red indicator in bios which a warning for overvoltage imo did you manage to oc part by part? 1.finding max fsb 2.finding max cpu 3.finding max ram clock speed 4.finding max cpu-nb speed/imc 1,2,3 yes i only find for this 3. then i find optimum for this 3 part because number4, higher is better (2700MHz is consider high oredy) mine only 2500Mhz

QUOTE(czardas @ Feb 4 2012, 07:30 PM) ok then did you know about Dolk's guide? have read once last time. but i lazy to study in detail, i just read to have a basic step. then i ask in the forum to get direct answer
