I can confirm this is 100% true. My cousin kena before. He got banged by some old truck with kangaroo bar - the truck only lost some paint chips on the bar...while his car front lights and bumper tapau. Quite serious so cannot settle on the spot, so agreed to do police report. But that ******* ffk and never report. The case drag on many months, still the police can't give you the accident results cause the guy never showed up.if ppl dont follow you to police station report together, then, habis la.

In the end:
The guy only kena saman rm300.
My cousin have to use own insurance to repair - lost 55% NCD.
Police say the only way to settle this now is go to court and sue him. As the truck wasn't damaged that much, he could have fixed it leaving no evidence.
Lots of time wasted going to police station for follow up, loss of car use, even after repair your car won't be 100% fixed.
So bottom line is even if you are in the right, avoid accident at all cause. No point get yourself into so much trouble just cause u didn't wanna give way.
