QUOTE(tech_frix @ Jul 29 2012, 08:24 PM) HPI is a big company, so they have cheaper cars, and much more expensive cars, like the Vorza. I wouldn't say that the Turnigy is a fast car, but it is decent. Should not be too hard to beginners to drive. Besides, a 45A ESC in a 4WD SCT is quite lacking. I'd recommend at LEAST a 60A in a 4WD SCT. |

QUOTE(kennypotatoes @ Jul 30 2012, 10:27 AM) Hi Hi.... I’m from cheras. Hehe. Whats your budget for a new car? What your prefer? On road or offorad?all kaki here around Klang Valley? 10years ago was playing Tamiya, now thinking to play but.... many brand... dono which brand to go.... easy maintenance and easy to get part.... fren recommend me buy china one, but i wonder the part easy to get? With a decent budget ~RM700, you can get a decent offroad RTR truck. But if you got less budget than that, you may want to have a look at several other cars - 1/10 Himoto (buggy, monster truck, truggy). Prices are ~RM399 for a RTR brushed set up. Cars from this brand are decent, but spare parts may be hard to come by. You can find Himoto cars from RCDreamz. - 1/10 HSP (buggy, monster truck, truggy). Prices from RM350-RM400. Also brushed set up. Price for brushless is @ RM500. But please be warned that with the brushless power, breakages WILL happen a lot more often. For me, I’d stay away from the HSP monster trucks. Suspension geometry does not allow the truck to bottom out, and that transfers the force to the dogbones, and prematurely wearing them out. Spare parts for HSP can be found easily at most hobby shops, but for the cheapest price, you would want to go down to Klang, and find for MyMegaStation. - There are other choices out there, like the HPI Brama 10B, but the E10 platform its based on, isn’t exactly the best platform out there. Anything more than a mild brushless set up fill melt the gears. - Then there’s Traxxas. One of the most famous brands for R/C stuff. Prices start from RM800 for a brushed 2WD Slash. Durability wise, I’d say it would be pretty decent, but not unbreakable. - There may be smaller brands like BSD Racing, HBX, HL, HQ etc, but spare parts will be quite a hassle. Do let me know if you’ve got more questions. I’d be glad to help you out. Also, if you’ve decided to get what you want, you might want to join me and a few other guys bashing at Kajang. There is an offroad track there too. |

QUOTE(kennypotatoes @ Jul 30 2012, 12:09 PM) Bro, thanks for your kind reply...... Short course? I'm from klang, MyMegaStation is just 10minutes from my House only. (1minutes from my sister house only) LOL. i been there several time, but yet to decide offroad or tarmac! Because i'm looking for KAKI.... but now thinking maybe Buggy or Shortcause! Because i can play it lonely at padang also. But there is a beautiful and nice Tarmac track at Klang Stadium, yesterday I went there took picture with my new zoom lens... saw only 3 ppl playing (maybe puasa less ppl) maybe will get two car huh!!!! hehehehehe budget, i think can go up to 1~1.5k... but depends lah.... because 10y ago I was Tamiya die hard... around that price also.... Kajang where you playing? maybe I go meet you guy? There is a Kajang offroad track -> https://maps.google.com.my/?ll=2.969892,101...004823&t=m&z=18 I'll be there mostly on Saturday evenings. But that is a 1/8 track, so smaller 1/10 buggies might suffer. There are jumps as well |
