Nice! what model you're getting?. Lots of choices for independent suspension on the market
Not really. I was just sitting staring at the wall during MCO, just minding my own business & suddenly I thought about solid axle. That's why I asked the question.

DAY 33: Realistic 'Rusty & Aging' paint works
I was spending just 3 hours working on this plain bland fresh Jeep body and turn it into realistic looking rusty old 4x4. I'm using brown, black and silver aluminum colored Tamiya acrylic paint and just use small tipped brush stroke to get the job done. Now my crawler looks more lively! Below are gallery links of the 'rust' project.

Wow nice job, this looks amazing!
Thanks, actually anyone can do it instantly. Just prepare brown and silver colored acrylic paint, a small pointed brush and just dab it with wet brush paint around the edge of your body shell shell and that's it. It only took 3 hours to get the job done.

DAY 41: Rust paint works for 1:35 scaler
This time i painted my micro r/c 4x4 crawler to make it looks rusty, aged and hardcore 4x4 looks. Just use 3 bottles of black, brown and silver acrylic paint with pointed narrow brush to get the effect done.

DAY 45: Conversion of WPL-14 to FPV
Another project! Took my time to build my 1/16 scale WPL C14 crawler with upgraded servo, esc and other electronics and also added FPV video system from used parts from my drone build inventory so i could drive around the neighborhood remotely especially during rainy days since it the chassis are mostly build from plastics which is non-corrosive.

Minor paint and FPV test drive
So i've added final touch by putting minor brushes of acrylic paint on the body panel lines, windows, accessories, wheels, wiper and front grills/light bucket tp make it looks more appealing. Also upgraded the FPV camera with smaller and night vision capable too. Now the 1/16 WPL-C14 looks aesthetically impressive looking truck to drive.

I was eyeing a hsp rc but i got experience twice buying broken electronics stuff from taobao so I'm skeptical if I should proceed
But the hsp I wanted is rm100 pricier in My now
Did you try look at banggood? Probably better by from local even if it is cost more. I prefer go to physical shop than online. Which hsp are you planning to get?

Hsp 94123 Banggood is even more pricier since it uses USD
The cheapest price I got is rm425 with shipping from local seller whereas I can get it for rm300 from taobao

I would agree Bangood.com best place to buy without faulty or broken parts since most of us bought multiple times from there. But for HSP malaysia has bulk of local stock from local online store and local shop which is a common brand. Shoppee website seems to have lots. I notice recently the price of R/C started to rise after Covid-19 pandemic because of manufacturing issues and stuff. Remember if you bought from overseas you'll still have to meet pak custom for tax.hehehehe.. Recently my friend just kena rm$150 tax for buying an Rc jeep from post office last week.

Just FYI, 94123 is beginner level drifter. I would suggest save more & buy better kit. With 94123, the front dog bones likely to lock, or at least not smooth when steering full lock which can ruin handling when drifting. You can change to universal CVD but I heard too often that thing doesn't last long. Then steering angle, it is not enough. You'll need to mod it to get more angle. There's no upgrade kit available.
Otherwise, 94123 is better for touring/rally stuff.

SupermotoXL That mini indoor crawler track is for Orlando or it's for wpl too?
BTW, for wpl where you put the electronics? I just wondering because I was watching someone building it at youtube.
Those indoor crawler track is for Orlandoo only because its easy to built and small enough to fit on table.
For the electronics on WPL i put mine exactly under the front hood with ESC's and receiver. You'll need to remove necessary plastic tray above the servo mount to have bigger inside space to fit everything. Here photo putting big ESC under the hood:
