QUOTE(ReaperX @ Feb 27 2012, 08:50 PM) damn sad...i think my 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 kong-ed. The other day I just power up my rig and then all of a sudden it couldn't load the Boot OS. BIOS could not even detect the SSD except for my other 3 HDDs. Plug the SSD to another PC also can't be detected. All my important data was kept inside there. Looks like it's dead. Normally Ocz how long warranty? I don't know where is my receipt can i still get warranty?I did some reading on other tech forums and it seems like i'm not alone on this but so far there's no other remedy but to RMA it. Anyone faced similar issues before? I'm still hesitating to RMA for the moment coz still finding ways to revive it and hopefully can retrieve my data. Intell 330 vs Crucial M4. Which is more stable? It's spec say M4 have slow write speed vs Intel is it true? Any better choice in term of stability? Is the Sandforce controller more stable than the previous one? my Agility 3 give me a lot of BSOD.

QUOTE(neverendinghells @ Aug 11 2012, 01:34 AM) Intel 330 is Dirt cheap price. Thank you for the explicit info. I will go for m4 then, it's my working desktop i guess reliability is my priority. So far only Agility 3 give me problem, my Vertez 2 is working fine.Yes it's a Intel, but it's a Sandforce But still, most will consider Either Intel or M4, cos of the price range... if you want more extra speed Corsair Force 3 120GB price also dropped to the marginal between this two brands.. and recently their Firmware's looks much stable then the previous one. If you do let me have a chance to choose again... i will still choose Fujitsu cos the price is INSANE... <RM2 per GB for 240GB... and <RM1.7 for 480GB .... Who cares... I'm using it for a non-important laptop anyway haha, important data is always @ sandisk Extreme 64GB usb 3.0 penddrive... / plugged in 64GB sandisk SDXC If nt fujitsu definately corsair/ intel cos pointless to get slow speeds except you really scare of SSD failures, else Crucial M4 is Tested Reliable and good to go... Brandings doesn't matter.. OCZ is such reputable brand, while their OCZ petrol fails more then one couldd imagine... While corsair also reputable... previous year Force series SSD full of problems. Crucial only manage to save thier ass with M4, C300 is not a good memory for me.. always BSOD>.> While Intel... Famous 8MB bug last year does gives a Good Punch on reliability despite it's world known brand. So.. till the end it's up to the Buyer to decide... |

QUOTE(pot @ Aug 13 2012, 09:17 PM) 1 Last question to clear out b4 tomorrow order my intel 330 120GB SSD. Is there any different between normal daily usage intel 330 SSD and crucial M4 SSD, I mean can we really can feel/spotted the different if we compare both?? RM320 for intel SSD and crucial M4 +-RM369. TQ i don't think you can feel much different. I have Ocz and M4. Speed wise i can't feel much different but M$ is more stable |

QUOTE(apecorp @ Aug 16 2012, 11:21 AM) Nowadays SSD prices are ridiculously cheap man. I bought my OCZ VERTEX 2 last year March at rm 430, and the bullsh*t part is mine is only 60gb (actual 53gb) and sata 3gp/s somemore!! IT stuff do not look back. Just move forward. Everything is cheap compare with history. The newer sata 6gp/s interface is still new rite? |
