ever since i bought and install fresh window on my m4, i got 2 sudden BSOD (once during gaming, once during normal operation) and last nite while doing some photoshop, all of sudden got grey screen. the music at the back is still playing and whatever button i click or push oso wont recover it. not really sure its due to my M4 or what.. dont know how to read mini dump file.. sorry if its not related here. b'cos before using ssd, i got no problem at all with my window.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ Apr 2 2012, 07:15 PM) What is your BSOD code? Temporarily disable SMART to see if the problem still occurs. The known BSOD issue with the M4 is problem with the SMART counter. This is resolved in 0309. For most people this SSD is flawless. BSOD can be caused by many issues - ram, oc, driver, loose sata cable, and etc. 509 5-star reviews (85%):http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820148441104 5-star reviews (85%):http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820148448Needless to say, the population and statistic of users in Newegg is one of the largest and most accurate, ever. i didnt manage to copy the code. If you knw how to analyse mini dump file, i'm happy to send it to you. BTW, how to disable SMART?? mine is updated with 0309 firmware dy. i also suspect my GC thou. cos bought it 2gether with my ssd. maybe some driver issue.

QUOTE(everling @ Jun 13 2012, 04:57 PM) If you want to have 128GB of space, okay. If you want to have extra speed, it's probably not worth the trouble and you're likely to be bottlenecked by your CPU. hmm.. 1st time heard of that bottleneck issue. can elaborate more on it? currently still got 30+gb on my 64gb m4, don dare to install a single game in it yet.. lol..

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jul 13 2012, 02:29 PM) Once again, flashing the firmware doesn't affect your data. However in the event if something went wrong during the flashing process (let's say, power blackout) then the drive could be bricked. Lucky thing for you is, flashing is so fast that you really only need to pray for 30 seconds that there won't be a power blackout. thank you very much.. i did flash before.. but that was when i just got my ssd few months back.. everytime i flash mobo bios, i have to pray hard.. guess i have to pray hard again this time...

QUOTE(harryfoo @ Aug 12 2012, 12:46 AM) Those who use 60gb SSD, how many available memory after you install Window 7 64 bit? i'm using 64gb m4 and win. 7 ultimate.. after install all the drivers and some programs, left around 30-35gb.. more than enough if you don plan to install games.. QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 12 2012, 03:26 AM) Go back to stock settings and try again? Don't think it's an SSD issue. More to do with your overclock. ~35GB give or take. Depending on which version of Win 7 you install and whether or not it is already slipstreamed with SP1. ok.. this morning start up it seems fine now.. thanks..
