Newbie here. Seek for advice to buy Intel 320 40GB or OCZ Agility 3 60GB. Budget very tight sad.gif
*
40GB is really only going to suffice for Windows 7 install on the SSD and nothing else.
Don't forget you need to have space for updates too... and the fact that you need to save 3-5GB of space for the SSD to perform at its best, it's just too tight.

Go for a 60GB Agility 3 or Corsair Force 3 instead.
Both are the same price.
Or if you can pony up an extra RM100, the Intel 320 80GB is a pretty nifty choice.

It does have less problems.

If your budget is really tight, I'd suggest buying Kingston V 100 64GB. I think you would get 64GB (59.6GiB) of actual capacity while the other SSDs will give you much less. While it may be slower than either Intel or the others, you will still feel the difference between an SSD and a HDD, and we also haven't heard of any problems with Kingston.

Amazon US. I just bought the 64gb from there for 142 usd, shipping included. Most stores there don't ship to MY, but I found one called MemoryC who ship to MY for only 12 usd.
Also found M4 there at 110 usd but for shipping need to pay 30+ usd.

Try post Crystal Mark score and see for the 830.
Wanna compare.

Just received the ssd. My benchmark attached. It is connected via SATA2.

Did anyone know about the Intel 320 warranty? Why some say 3 years and some say 5 years? Thanks.

Confident in the enhanced reliability features of its recently introduced third-generation solid-state drive (SSD), Intel announced it has extended its limited warranty for the IntelĀ® SSD 320 Series from three years to five years. The extended warranty term will apply to all Intel SSD 320 Series drives, including those already purchased. Additional limitations apply to enterprise usage levels. See full warranty details.

I am using Kingston 64GB for my tablet PC (uses SATA 1) and its good. But 60GB might be limited , so you may need to use external storage unless you plan to solely use for business purpose like what I am currently doing

As all OCZ drives, simply because they're the most popular... that means alot of failures.
But that was before the BSOD bug was fixed.

Otherwise for an Asynchronous SSD, it's pretty okay.
Fast and cheap. The other widely available alternative is Corsair's Force 3.

If you can however, get a Crucial M4 64GB.
