Any Vertex 3 users here? Planning to get one. Just wondering about it's reliability. Been seeing complains all around the net about its reliability

Does the capacity affect the speed?
I have 1 Samsung 830 128GB on hand.
Don't know whether to keep it myself or sell it off.
Anandtech YouTube video review mentioned about speed differences between 128GB & 256GB.

I checked on BootRacer ranking most of the top 10 got either M4 or 830.
And some of the top ranking only using i5.
Does mobo affect boot time?
What else I have to do other than follow the optimization guide?
Below is some details of my pc.
- i7-2600k @ stock
- DP67BG
- 4GB value @ stock
- HD6950 @ stock
- FPS 500w (probably needa change, reason see below)
- 3 x 1TB Black

in general intel's SATA3 is faster than 3rd party's SATA3 ie. marvel on R4E
mobo chipset does affect the performance. Z68/P67 is better than immature X79's C600

most important is update to the latest mobo chipset driver as well as Intel RST driver.
Other than these don't really give significant boost to the performance.

Can u set SATA mode to ACHI in bios?
to enable TRIM support u must:
1) enable to ACHI in windows/OS, reboot and
2) enable ACHI in bios

If I set in bios I'm unable to boot into OS.
Is there anyway to do without screwing up my current OS?

Already did all of those but still auto restart during booting animation. (I assumed it is at booting animation although I've already disabled boot GUI)

your score still very high....i am using Corsair Force 3 120GB Sata 3 on Sata 2 port but only managed to get 167MB read and 100MB write. I got a few question want to ask expert here as below:

a) Will it because my mobo dont support ACHI so the speed is so slow?
b) Any effect by using it for dual OS booting? Using it with 3 partitions : OSX Lion 1| Lion 2| Win7
c) besides, TRIM is enabled inside Win 7. This partition is about 60GB. But inside OSX cant support TRIM. In this situation, TRIM is covered 60GB under Win 7 or is covered whole SSD?

there a software called trim enabler in OSX to force enable trim in OSX snow leopard, but in lion it should be auto turn on once it detect its a SSD
