help.. my phone is dead after fail to unlock bootloader using unlocking bootloader without losing DRM data method..
the phone vibrated after few sec holding power on button..
seus detected my phone but seus say my phone is up-to-date but the problem is, seus cannot update my phone..
btw already downloaded mk16i stock firmware but my phone is mk16a.. can i flash mk16i rom into mk16a ka?

mk16i and mk16a is 2 different thing. u cannot use mk16i rom to put into mk16a. u need mk16a rom to put back to mk16a. u might brick ur phone if u by force flash it in.

Already flashed mk16i Rom into mk16a and it WORKED.. My phone alive back.. Now, The key mapping become crazy..

now that sounds more secured with bootloaders unlocked in a safer way.

but alot hassle to settle as it is quite technical, requires third party parts to reroute the fastboot...

this is not rocket science la.. if u have analog multimeter probe, mesti boleh punya.. just borrow from ur friend if he/she is an engineer..
mine borrow from my lecturer.

actually i like this kind of unlocking method more. it convince me by saying there WILL NOT be any brick during FOTA. but ar..even if i did the Sony way, FOTA wont brick my unit though..it just wont proceed by prompting a warning saying that due to security settings, i cannot FOTA only.

seems like u are doing some homework as well. can u share some knowledge about relocking the bootloader and as well provide way to unlock using the technical method instead the Sony way?

No need relocking bootloader if ur phone unlocked using test point way..
Relocking bootloader just for unlocked phone that unlocked using sony way..

1. Sony way

well picture this, if there are 100 people who try to root their phone, more than 80% of them will succeed but maybe only 20% of them will post that they succeed to root their phone.

the less than 20% that failed to root their phone, most of them will post that they fail to root their post.

the truth is, taken proper precaution, there will be no problem rooting our phone.

the most common cause of phone get bricked is due to FOTA after root. (remember that only fw .58 and below can be root, not .62). otherwise i didn't ever stumble upon other problem on rooting as far as on my reading.

great thing is we have wotan server. your phone brick?, just reflash with wotan server.

hope this will alleviate your worry.

refering to the link i provided in the rooting guide at 1st page, same from xda forum, i contacted the TS of the method. he told me it only can be done if the unlocking method is by using his method. if with Sony method, he dun guarantee it will work and worse to worse it may brick the hp..duh

duh.. so, cannot relock back la..

but some did relocked back, yet could not unlock back after relock. funny eh?
