no, u can't .
i'm updte to .62 and then my root is gone .
so, I hve to flashing back .58 fw with wotan server .

the only option to have .62 fw root is by flashng back .58 fw .
and then updte to .62 fw ota .
without using pc companion .

blame google for this. fyi, only samsung and lg phone got native 3g call for android. other android phone, no native 3g call, which include htc and xperia. this had been issued worldwide but google never take any action on it.


PLEASE DON'T FOTA after you had boot unlock. you'll brick your phone. one of lyn user here already had this issue. you can read back several page before.

u want root, settle with .58 firmware. want .62 firmware, dont root. btw, i don't think .58 and .62 firmware have much different.

no, it won't brick ur phone if u don't unlock ur bootloader yet .
mine works well coz my bootloader still lock .
bout OTA to ics i'm not so sure .
how bout we juz wait to end of april / early may to c whethr we can updte OTA or not .

ok. u unlocked ur bootloader, u have .58 rooted fw in ur PRO now. u want .62 rooted fw in ur PRO now and u duno how.

1. flash this rom into ur unit with a 3rd party software such as FlashTool or equivalent stuff.
Generic MK16i (Pro) 4.0.2.A.0.62 (1251-0386) (Android 2.3.4)

2. fastboot ur PRO, install this kernel in.
BOOT KERNEL WITH CWM AND ROOT FOR ST18i and MK16i BASED ON 4.0.2.A.0.62 FIRMWARE

siuyi never did this coz .58 rooted fw is just fine. do at ur own risk. end story.
