QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Feb 29 2012, 04:04 AM) i will definitely consider with against the iphone 5 and sgs 3 in months to come i believe only Xbox Live is the only issue in WP7.5 for msia marketplacethe only thing now is the OS. i tried the lumia 800 and i like the presentation of it. but i heard it can't unleash its true potential in msia due to regional issues eg : xbox live. QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Mar 1 2012, 12:27 AM) Lumia 900 is so tempting. I wan to try a Window device...but I wonder if I should wait till Lumia got its hands on the Pure View tech... PureView coming to WP ...at least two years more I believe... |

QUOTE(smokymcpot @ Mar 4 2012, 11:13 PM) Would be interesting to see how does the Lumia 900 compete with the iPhone 5 and SGS3. Very good for consumers like us selling point of smartphones...connectivity specs (nfc , bluetooth, front cam, butt cam, etc2) ...OS fluidness...and also necessary apps in the storehardware spec...quadcore/octacore/2gb ram/bigass screen? not really selling the phone if majority of above not included... QUOTE(rippein @ Apr 14 2012, 07:32 PM) I really really hope its a mistake. The Nokia Maps is a good selling point for the phone. I'd rather buy this phone than a phone and a GPS seperately. do not worry, definitely mistakes. I can assure you 100% L900 will have Nokia Drive and MapsJust hoping they can come up with worthwhile apps. I personally think this phone will be a great change for ppl who are bored of iOS n Android. |

creating hotspot got 2 mode, one is Ad-hoc mode (Vista and below windows for example)...one is Infrastructure mode (Wireless Access point, android for example)
symbian/meego/maemo/iOS/PC can connect to ad-hoc, but not android...not sure on WP...maybe like android too? QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jun 3 2012, 12:53 AM) its annoying for me because my Nokia N8 can connect, iphone 4S can connect. Just my Lumia 800 cant. It wont even appear in wifi sifu, your HOX wifi hotspot cannot be detected by Lumia device? strange..because HOX (android) suppose to create wifi in infrastructure mode, which is globally can be connected by any device... |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Jun 3 2012, 06:40 PM) Yes, the pixel density is lower. So, in terms of sharpness, it's worse but look at the bright side of Lumia 900 as well. It is a non-pentile AMOLED screen. I would rather have a larger size and non-pentile on Lumia 900 than the pentile display on Lumia 800. huMmm, pentile<tft screen< amoled < super amoeld screen?Lumia 900 is basically similar to 800 with a larger screen. Im not sure if Lumia 800 have pentile screen, but if it have, so shall be N9 too..which I'm not sure what is the difference between pentile and non pentile screen. from what I noticed...pentile screen = miniature checker board screen? |

I still can't understand about "pentile effect" , is it miniature-checker-board pixel?

QUOTE(angelflames @ Jun 26 2012, 09:34 AM) as much as i adore these pics quality, im starting to doubt its from lumia 900. I tweak my camera setting to no end, but looks like s**t. check EXIF..it is Lumia 900.exif will be destroyed if any editing were made... macro mode and steady hand should do the trick |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Nov 27 2012, 11:44 AM) AMOLED screen are quite expensive to replace. With majority of manufacturers preferring to attach screen & digitizer together don't expect the cost will be cheaper in future. thanks sifu, noted on thisIf you have the skill you can separating the screen & digitizer & try to replace the screen alone. Contrary to what it look like,N9/Lumia 800/Lumia 900 screen can be dissembled easily if you have the right tool. It's just separating the screen & digitizer is hard. |
