Same with me. Uses 12.11 Beta4 gaming will stuck (no BSOD or auto restart) after 10 minutes and need ALT + Tab close the game manually. Using back 12.10 will give smoothly gaming.

Mine is Sapphire HD7870 non OC version.

May I know if you install the new 12.11beta4 after uninstalling previous driver or you just install it on top of your old driver? PC system is weird..even when using similar hardware, similar OS, similar driver etc..one got no issue while another got issues with their system...registry counts every single thing i guess or maybe even more complicated things are counted  rclxub.gif

I never uninstall old driver before installing the new one so far no problem occurred that's why I dont have any complaints on AMD Radeon's hardware, instead I love their products and software and yes I'm talking about single card here biggrin.gif.

Installed 12.11 beta4 after uninstall previous driver. I also didn't have any idea why became like this. While other people got nothing issued with 12.11 beta4. Seems like must format and re-installed OS then only can compitable with new 12.11 Beta. Regedit might be bengong one rclxub.gif

I hate to admit that Catalyst driver or CCC is still buggy.
It is recommended that to upgrade driver is to uninstall the old one first using Atiman Uninstaller 7.0.2(to thoroughly clean out drivers)
It will automatically reboot upon finished installation.
Then proceed for 2nd cleaning by using Driver Clean Pro 1.5
Go to Device Manager > Display adapter to remove the driver. Check the "remove driver software...."
Reboot then install new driver.
MS Visual C++ is another problem maker. Uninstall it prior to new installation might solve your instability issues.
Sometimes a failed OCing will make the whole system hung when CCC is launching. In this case you would have to repair the CCC or more worse the whole driver, profile, CCC and MSI Afterburner

Is that .Net Framework also affect this matter?

Hye all..

Recently I played NFS Most Wanted and got bad laggy early game. I think my HD7870 GHz 2GB should be enough to play it all maxed out since my reso only 1600x900 max. Currently using Catalyst 12.10 on Win7 Ulti 64 SP1.

Is that problem come from my oldie driver and need to be up-to-date one?

Can suggest a driver/catalyst version which stable to use?

Try catalyst 13.2 beta 7 and see, to me its the best driver so far. Yeah it's best and recommended to regularly update the driver, however if you dont have any issue with any games better stick with the old one. Just my 2 cents smile.gif

I just found Catalyst 13.10 on AMD website. Downloaded and installed it. Got improvement and didn't give me lag on startup game as I found on old driver

Sorry for my bad English notworthy.gif
