QUOTE(goodseeder @ Jan 10 2012, 07:22 PM) Are you serious? Overclock it to play what game? If I were you I will not reduce the life of my expensive GPU for a few fps Actually 7970 is only a tad faster than the GTX 580 If you're talking about high resolutions like 2560 x 1600 on certain games, you still need a Crossfire setup to get a good 60 fps. Overclock does reduce life span but it will be years before it does. I don't think anyone would mind if their 7970 dies 10 years later.

QUOTE(shepard @ Jan 13 2012, 12:41 PM) hopefully by time, AMD driver support team are working hard to satisfy their 7970's customer after what they've paid. I believe there's much more potential in this card, only time will tell . thanks for drop by.. To be honest, there's a limit what the drivers can do. What's important here is the support of drivers for that particular game. It doesn't mean that 6 months down the road with Catalyst version 25 coming out, we will get extra 10-20 FPS with it
