Anyone can tells me what is the purpose of wearing belt to gym? I asked a person in gym and he told me that the belt can helps prevent back muscle from pain. Is that true?

its help your lower back from snapping. i have seen some guys wear it the whole time even when they do biceps curls. they say it helps them get a correct posture

for me i dont usually wear one as i alredi got a good posture in terms of carrying things from the floor. only wear it when im doin really heavy squats and deadlifts.

the belt doesn't save your back from snapping, only good form does that.

belt however is to help your core muscle pressure bcoz your natural belt can only hold so much pressure to the point that you need a belt for it when you're lifting heavies such as deadlift and what not.
