Sorry, don't understand. Current using stock 2.3.5 and rooted. If I upgrade to stock 2.3.6 by using Kies,
do I need to re-root again ?

May I know if the offical 2.3.6 ROM is already released by Samsung for Malaysia? If yes, where can I download from? via Kies or Samsung website?

btw here is the question which i did some searching through the net but couldnt find any... how the hell can i keep the wifi enable even after my phone screen locked? looks like everytime it went to lock, the wifi connection keep disabling and connect back when i unlock the phone.

any guide? thx in advance:)

i use 'Easy Battery Saver'.... most of the time i use the 'Intelligent Mode'. U think thats the problem? Cuz in this mode, the settting for wifi connection enabled

anyone can help on this, as im following uncle ben tutorial:

Switch off phone, boot to download mode through the 3 hard buttons , pressing it simultaneously : Vol down+Home+Power. When you see the warning message, select VOL UP to boot into download mode. Connect phone to PC. Launch ODIN 1.85 on PC. Click on the Odin link if you have not installed it on your PC.

Select the rom zip tar file as PDA and leave th else as default. Select START. the flash will take about a minute to two. The phone will reboot within 5-6 minutes with the new rom installed

now my phone is in download mode ed, regarding the select the rom zip..does i need to select the rom zip in my pc or in my phone??

i don't know which one to choose coz there's a lot

Wait, I'm confused now. My previous question is, current I'm rooted, if I'm using "Setting > About Phone > Sotware Update > Update" to upgrade 2.3.6 and will it wipe phone and root ? Your answer to me is "NO", mean it will not wipe phone
and root if upgrade through this method "Setting > About Phone > Sotware Update > Update" right ?

This include without wipe your phone data ?

If this is the case, just wonder why in this forum suggested many difficult way to get our GN phone updated to
latest firmware. I might want to try this approach later. The worse thing is I lost root.
