anyway, anyone knows how much a 2 month Galaxy Note will fetch in market -- comes with flip case & 2yrs warranty...

i'm generally happy with Galaxy Note but there are a few minor issues:
* i find Samsung's implementation on the Note to be clumsy. it feels rushed. lots of minor/ little quirks. having also used sgs2, i'd say sgs2 implementation is more solid.
* i'm one of those who appreciate big screen. but with Note, hard to do single hand operation --> i guess my hands are too small

i'm now thinking if i should try our Galaxy Nexus... stock Android... i guess it means less excess baggage in the RAM, etc... but 5MP camera... i'm one of those who rely a lot on phone camera...

oh well... see how.
*
are you on 2.3.6 firmware? there's single handed keyboard available...
but i find that i type fastest when i'm using swiftkey using two thumb finger.

galaxy nexus is cheaper than note from digi website...
http://www.digi.com.my/PhonesDevices/Samsung_GALAXY_Nexus.do

i have thought that it will be slightly more expensive than note but now i believe they price it cheaper is due to the hardware is inferior compare to note...
1.2ghz processor, 1280x720 resolution, 5mp camera and no micro SD slot.

juz wanna ask here...is it original samsung flip cover material ok?? is it worth rm90?? too sad mine not get free ori case...

how ur opinion guys??or better find other case at dat price? notworthy.gif
*
in V5 of note, i have said that after only using 20 days of the flip cover, can see the side started to peel..
not worth for the money i would say...

i second the opinion that you should top up and buy an after market part.

- The above issue made me think that it might be a Network Location issue. So I went to Settings > Location and security > and disabled "Use wireless networks" and restarted the device. The issue never happened again no matter how long I waited. I turned on WiFi, auto sync, manual sync, turned on GPS and used Google Maps, ... There was no problem with Deep Sleep. The device can sleep alright.

If it is already disable try enable n disable back. work for me.

ya, i the end... Note still better in terms of specs. i still can't let go of external memory... still need it. all nexus dun have external memory slots.

still on 2.3.5 coz i ain't gonna let anyone force me to install any sync software. so, i'm expecting my next FOTA to be to ICS... smile.gif

single handed operation is not just text-ing... but as another owner already said... taking out of the pocket, unlocking the phone and then answering the call... safer to use two hands... else risk the phone slipping off the hand and falling to the ground.
*
take out of the pocket and answer phone call if without any case is do-able with one hand.
just set using the home key to answer the phone and power key to end call.
option available in the call setting.

my friend found this for galaxy note, think some how this true?
any one free to test with higher quality dark scene movies...
i seldom watch movie on my phone.. mostly watch youtubes on the go...

Banding problem:

Viewing 16bit or lower resolution gradient images on your screen will also show banding.

The Android browser shows banding with this image while the Dolphin HD browser does not.

In short, the SGNote has a 24bit display, which will show banding if viewing 16bit or lower images or using a 16bit or lower viewing application.

Banding, otherwise known as contouring, is a digital artifact common to images, displays or apps of 16bit(thousands of colours) or less.

Rooting allow you to install map with navigation in malaysia!

Custom rom that i'm using now Rocket Rom V15 has 14 toggle button.
look at the print screen.

personally i like the extra button data, airplane, and lockscreen (disable lock screen when i use the original flip case) swipe on the toggle bar to the right to see more of the buttons.
can directly go to their individual setting by long press.

on custom rom, got slower slow speed. stock is 200mhz, custom rom is 100mhz.. when the phone is idling on custom rom, save battery juice.

next is under volting.. after root and custom rom, can undervolt the CPU voltage.. but i haven't test it out yet.
